[Earlier That Evening – 10:12 PM]
The dorm was quiet. For once, the chaos had settled, and the members were scattered across the living room, some scrolling on their phones, others half-dozing. The warm glow of the lamps made the space feel extra cozy, and after a long day, nobody had the energy to move much.
Haru had been sitting comfortably on the couch, flipping through his phone when he felt something shift beside him. At first, he didn’t think much of it—Wumuti had been laying back with his arms crossed, looking as if he was just resting his eyes.
Then it happened.
Slowly, subtly, Wumuti slumped to the side, his body leaning into Haru’s without hesitation. Haru froze. He glanced down, barely breathing, expecting Wumuti to jolt back up in realization. But nothing. Instead, Wumuti’s head settled against his shoulder, his breath soft and even.
Haru thought that would be the end of it—until Wumuti shifted again, this time nestling in even closer. His cheek brushed against Haru’s arm, and then, like it was the most natural thing in the world, he rubbed against it slightly before letting out the quietest sigh.
Haru had nearly screamed.
Instead, he stayed completely still, heart pounding.
Did Wumuti just… nuzzle him?
Haru carefully glanced around the room. Rui had headphones on, lost in whatever he was watching, and Hyun was lying on the floor, absentmindedly scrolling on his phone. Nobody else had noticed.
For a long moment, Haru just sat there, staring at Wumuti’s peaceful face. His lips were slightly parted, his lashes resting against his cheeks. He looked… soft.
Vulnerable.
Haru barely moved, trying to process what was happening. But then, as if Wumuti somehow sensed his hesitation even in sleep, his arms—Haru swore—twitched for a second before subtly wrapping around Haru’s waist.
That’s when Haru had really lost his mind.
