Chapter 1: End of 2025, beginning of 2026

Chapter Text

The roar of the engine echoed across the Sepang circuit. It was the end of the season, and the MotoGP championship was in its decisive moments. Marc Márquez, with his unstoppable determination, was just one win away from securing another title, but his biggest rival, Fabio Quartararo, was not about to give up the fight easily.

In the Ducati garage, the atmosphere was tense. The mechanics moved quickly, adjusting the bike for the last race of the year, while Marc, with his eyes focused, observed every detail. It was his last chance to win the title, but something inside him was conflicted.

He looked to the side, where his friend and teammate, Francesco Bagnaia, was working on his bike. The two had already discussed the future of racing, about life off the track, and now, standing next to his teammate, Marc knew that things were about to change. Whatever happened in this race, the world of MotoGP would never be the same again.

The start took place and the field of drivers spread out across the circuit with the same intensity as always. Marc was ahead, but not far behind Quartararo. Adrenaline was coursing through both of their veins. Each corner seemed more dangerous, more exciting. The crowd cheered with every move, but there was something different in the air. A feeling that this would not be just another race.

In the midst of the fierce competition, Marc noticed something he had never expected: the sparkle in Quartararo's eyes. It was not just rivalry. It was a shared search for speed, for challenge, for perfection. In a moment of pure synchronization, the two drivers looked at each other for a second as they passed through the same corner. There were no words, just the communion of two human beings, two passionate about the same art.

As the race approached its end, Marc was ahead, but he couldn't help but think about what was happening. Quartararo’s smile, his firm stance, the confidence that shone through him as he fought for the lead… Marc knew that, in time, these two would become MotoGP legends, not just as rivals, but as those who changed the history of the sport.

On the last lap, as the crowd almost stopped to breathe, Quartararo made a daring move, overtaking Marc with impressive agility. But Marc, with his sharp instinct, did not give up. On the final straight, the two were side by side, fighting for every inch.

On the last corner, it was Marc who held firm, crossing the finish line first, with Quartararo right behind, but both smiling, knowing that this was not the end, but just another chapter.

As the bikes pulled into the pits, the rivalry seemed to have disappeared, replaced by a deep respect. Marc looked at Fabio and, speechless, nodded. Fabio smiled, the mutual respect sealed in that moment.

“See you next season,” Marc said, more like a promise than a farewell.

And so, under the starry sky of Sepang, the story of two MotoGP legends was just beginning. It didn't matter who won or lost. What mattered was that they had found something stronger than rivalry: a passion for speed and life.
