He would find warmth from the fireplace, but the thing about fire? It's finite; it burns out and only hurts Kimi. It left scars on his hands when he put them too close to the flickering flames. He had only wanted the cold to go. The first fire he had found had been in an idol. Their first night together had been so sweet, everything Kimi had ever imagined a first time could be. But then he had left. Kimi woke up to an empty bed, the mattress next to him still warm to the touch. The leaves just outside his window were frosty. Michael had called him pretty, he remembered. Touched his face with such love and care, Kimi had really thought he'd found the one. But Michael had left. He left and burned Kimi with his passion.

Summary
An extended and uncut version of the M1 scene from Untitled.
That very same bedroom is where Vale permitted Bezz the chance to sit on his most valued bike, the old M1 positioned at the foot of his bed. Vale sat, reclining on his pillows like some holy god and watched as Bezz pretended to ride the bike through the turns of Mugello. He laughed when Bezz nearly fell off, leaning too much on a bike that didn't lean with him. Bezz laughed as well, feeling just as powerful as his idol. He didn't question why Vale's hand was moving so much under the blanket, why breathy little noises and low groans occasionally fell from his mouth. Bezz knew what was going on, he was a teenage boy, but for the chance to sit on a machine as legendary as this bike? The awkwardness was worth it. None of them mentioned the dark stain on Vale's pants when he next stood up. None of them mentioned how strained Bezz's pants were, either.

"Don't you feel like Bezz has been acting strange?" Luca muttered, staring at the track through the window. It had been hours since Bezz took a break, as he only paused to refuel the bike. Even as the lamps outside flickered on, as the other academy members put away their plates, Bezz didn't come inside.
Luca sighed, standing up to grab his rain jacket and an umbrella."Luca." Vale finally called out. Luca turned to face his mentor. "I'll talk to him"
Luca didn't question Vale, but god, he wished he did.

His first race was horrible. Well, it could have been worse. At least Luca finished the race. During it, though, he constantly felt like he was in last place. The next race was the same, falling back. It had been humiliating to be overtaken by his brother. Yes, he had much more experience than Luca, but he was supposed to be Vale's legacy. Luca was supposed to be younger, just as prodigal and talented. All he had proved was that race was his own inadequacy. The only highlight of his first two races was a good job and a playful slap on his shoulder given to him by Vale. He was ashamed to admit that he'd placed his own hand over the lingering warmth, trying to imagine that it was Vale's instead.
