On the way to a park for Basalt’s 7th birthday, her family stopped by a diner to get a snack. With the food she got a complementary bagel along with her meal. She exited the car along with her step dad and her mom as well as two of her cousins.
She got out of the car with her bagel, holding it up and away from her younger cousin who tried to snatch it with their teeth which was annoying.
Eventually while the other kids were playing around on the swings. She sat comfortably on the bench and began to eat her bagel. Only to be run into by her younger cousin. Knocking the bagel out of her hand. She shot him a dirty look and then leaned over the bench to pick her bagel back up only to realize it was missing from the spot it fell.
Now sad and annoyed she looked for where it was only to notice a frog holding a chunk of it beneath the bench. She made the most offended face a child could ever possibly make upon realizing it. Reaching down to swat at the frog, it jumped into the water, much to her annoyance.
Her dad noticed, and ended up going to get her another bagel while she sulked on the bench over the loss.
