Amelia opened up the front door to their house only to be greeted by the unusual sight of darkness. Stepping into the darkness she let the door close behind her, letting her eyes adjust enough to see the light switch. On a normal day Gigi would have returned home and been waiting for her, and today especially she had worked late so Gigi would have been home for a while. It was possible that she had gone to the convenience store to get some snacks having gotten bored of waiting for her. Finally able to see the switch she reached out and turned the hallway lights on and turned to put her briefcase down on the table by the door and shucked her jacket off onto the hook next to it.
Bending down to untie her shoes she noticed that Gigi’s shoes were still by the door. Unless she somehow forgot to put them on, which isn’t impossible for her, that means she was home. She also could have been asleep having gotten tired waiting for Ame to get home. Ame’s mouth curved up imagining the sight of finding her cute gremlin asleep on the couch. Finally, finished taking her shoes off Ame grabbed her briefcase and walked down the short hallway into their living room. She flicked on the light for the living room and caught a brief of a black tail retreating behind the sofa.
Amelia forced the laugh bubbling up her throat back down into a low chuckle and an even wider smile. Deciding to play along she cleared her throat loudly before tossing her briefcase onto the kitchen island to her right. She made sure each step she took to the couch were as loud as she could so Gigi could hear her. She swore she could hear a tiny giggle from the attempted prankster as she approached the couch.
“I wonder if they’ve released anything new today?” Amelia said loudly as she plopped down onto the sofa. She reached one hand into the inside of her coat will the other reached to grab the remote.
“AMEEEE!!!!” Gigi shouts as she jumps up from behind the couch and tries to grab her detective. Ame quickly clicked her watch that she was holding onto freezing the world around her. She quickly got up and turned around to look at Gigi, frozen mid jump up from behind the couch. Ame let out her laughter looking at the excitement that was on Gigi’s face. It almost made her want to sit back down and let Gigi have her prank, almost that is. She quickly hurried around the couch to stand behind her. She reached down to hook her arm under Gigi’s knees and lifted her up into a princess carry. Quickly pressing a kiss onto her adorable cheek before the time freeze came to an end. Ame watched Gigi’s face as confusion flashed through it briefly before realizing her prank had been once again thwarted.
“That’s no fair using your watch!” Gigi pouted as she crossed her arms and turned her head away. Ame laughed at the bratty reaction and the fact that despite how Gigi was asking she could feel their body shake lightly with their own laughter. She leaned in to press an apologetic kiss against Gigi’s exposed neck. Seeing no reaction she placed another one followed by another and another until Gigi’s hands came up to push her face away, giggling from the ministrations. Finally she turned her head back to look up at Ame still with her brows furrowed and a pout firmly on her face.
“I’m sorry, I couldn’t help myself.” She giggled out, placing a kiss onto Gigi’s now reachable cheek. “Your surprised face is just so adorable to look at.”
The frown finally broke into a smile on Gigi’s face as her hands finally went to wrap around Ame’s arms. Ame leaned down to meet Gigi and placed a kiss upon her lips, letting out a happy hum as she did so. Breaking their kiss Ame rested her forehead on Gigi’s while walking back to the front of the couch. She carefully sat down still holding them so she could let her arms rest from carrying Gigi. Gigi went in for another kiss that Ame gladly accepted.
She felt the arms around her neck pulled her to join Gigi sprawled out onto the couch. She broke the kiss and took a moment to stare at Gigi’s reddening face with a lopsided grin plastered on it. Their lips met again and Ame finally relented to the insistent hands and laid down next to Gigi on the couch, wrapping her arms around them and resting her hands on the small of her back.
Once more they broke their lips apart to take breaths of needed air. Ame’s eyes met Gigi’s before drifting down to the freckles that spattered across her cheeks and the bridge of her nose. She leaned forward but instead of recapturing their lips Ame stared to place a kiss against every single freckle on their face. Gigi giggled as her face was barraged in adoration from her detective, lips slowly making their way from her cheek onto the bridge of their nose and down to the other cheek.
Finishing on her journey, Ame drifted her kisses down the cheek to recapture Gigi’s. Gigi’s giggles reverberated into her mouth as they kissed again. This kiss was much shorter given Gigi’s unstoppable giggle’s, but it was no less sweet. Breaking away Ame rested her forehead onto Gigi’s.
“Welcome home silly my detective.” Gigi whispered against her lips.
“Good to be home my goofy gremlin.” Ame whispered back.
