Chapter 1: The decisions (prologue)
Chapter Text
Second knew that when Alan's computer was created, it was too sad and completely desolate. The monitor and everything else seemed to reflect a sadness; when it could see the face of its creator, there was a sorrow in the way he moved, as if he didn't want to suffer for something he didn't yet understand. Every time it erased its friends, it seemed to hurt, but it remained steadfast until its confrontation. When it spoke to him, it was left in shock, but that moment was brief, leading to a negotiation to return its friends.
When night fell and its friends had to return to their webpage, it thought it would be left alone since it couldn't leave the computer. Unbeknownst to it, another figure emerged from a security application and was watching it intently. AB didn't know whether to introduce itself, as it had to think about what to do in that moment. If it introduced itself, there would come a time when everything would fall apart again, but there was no way to know if it would be safe to continue living. After everything it had experienced, it decided to take care of the little one, not wanting him to be alone, especially since it could see he was only six years old.
It approached him and knelt down since the child was sitting on the floor. Second felt a presence behind him, so he turned around and could only see a purple stick figure wearing denim pants and a black shirt with a flaming cursor. He didn't know who it was, so he remained silent, waiting to see if the older one would introduce himself.
"Hello, little one... I'm AB, and I'll be here for you," the older one said, and the kind smile he showed gave a sense of security, prompting the child to hug him. The older one was surprised but stayed in that spot, and they fell asleep there since it seemed Second didn't want to move, and AB didn't want to make him uncomfortable.
From that moment on, years passed, and now Second was 13 years old. The colorful gang was between 14 and 13 years old, all raised by AB, who had developed gray hair due to the crazy adventures his children had when he wasn't around. He had almost had a heart attack on several occasions, especially when it came to Minecraft. They had even told him about King Orange, someone he didn't know. The kids knew that after sharing their adventures with their father, they had to sleep in his room because AB needed to know they were okay.
Chapter 2: The return of Chosen
Summary:
Chosen was unsure of Noogai and more so considering the new kids...until he saw AB his father but it was also the last time
Chosen and Dark are not okay at the end of the day
Chapter Text
Alan was drawing calmly, Segundo was helping him because he wanted to be by his side at that moment because he had had a nightmare and his father, AB, would not be with him until nightfall. He knew he shouldn’t enter his father’s application due to the security system in place.
Alan could clearly see how Segundo was helping him, and he had the feeling that he was doing it because he had dreamed of something, but he didn’t know what it was, so he was just waiting for things not to get worse.
When they finished drawing, the computer suddenly turned on the fan at full speed, which puzzled Alan because the AB Protection antivirus was supposed to prevent such issues. The older boy was confused about where the problem was coming from and was trying to figure out what was causing it. He noticed an application that he hadn’t downloaded, so he wanted to finish the new application that was running, but nothing he did seemed to work.
Seeing the problem, Segundo asked for a hammer, and from that moment on, chaos ensued. Alan was more worried about his children than his computer until Chosen appeared. Alan was in shock because one of his older sons was alive. Chosen, on the other hand, didn’t like being in that place, especially knowing that he was the one responsible for his father’s death without being able to save him. But he still had to prevent Dark’s plan from succeeding, especially considering that there were now more children in the computer, and he didn’t know if they would be safe with Noogai.
After they fought the virus and went after Chosen, Alan started cleaning the place with great nervousness because he didn’t know what was happening and was afraid of losing his children again, especially now that he knew Chosen, one of his older sons, was alive.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The kids and Chosen were ready to fight against Dark... although the older one was worried about involving the kids in the battle since he believed they should be in a safe place right now. "You need to find shelter," he stated firmly to the younger ones, urging them to seek safety.
The kids complained silently. - No! We will help - said Segundo seriously, determined, while his siblings nodded in agreement, as that spider wanted to destroy their home, and they weren't going to allow it.
Chosen groaned in frustration because the kids were too stubborn. -Come on, kids... you need to go find shelter - he said again, completely serious. He could see that the orange one, who looked like him, was serious too... but he didn't have time to keep arguing with the kids since he needed to stop Dark before everything became too dangerous for the entire web of the world.
The colorful gang was brainstorming ways to help until they thought that Uncle Alan could assist them with the problem they were facing, as he could use the cursor as a means to help in the fight, so they set out to bring Alan.
When Alan arrived to help Chosen, it was clear that he was mostly trying to avoid hurting them. The kids didn’t know what was happening with their uncle, but this wasn’t the time to question what was going on until Dark destroyed it.
Alan was outside, staring intently at the computer… before he could do anything, he felt dizzy. He should have slept a long time ago since he had been awake for three days and needed rest right now… so he decided to go to sleep before an accident happened. Just a minute later, he woke up on his monitor, and the first thing he did was rush to the internet line to reach his kids, as they were in danger, especially since the viruses were about to eliminate them if they fought against them.
Unbeknownst to him, the antivirus application in his room had activated to control AB if it refused to destroy the source of the virus.
----------------------------------------------
The color gang was watching in horror as their uncle's tool was erased, and now they knew there was no help for Chosen, so they had to do something in that moment. They decided to fight against the red hollow to prevent it from continuing to hurt the black hollow. When they attacked, it wasn't enough to stop it, and just when Red was about to die, he closed his eyes but felt no pain. He just prepared himself; they weren't holding him anymore, but he heard muffled screams. When he opened his eyes, he saw his father's back being pierced by the blades.
Red let out a scream because he was now scared that his father was about to be eliminated. "Dad!" Red shouted as his eyes filled with tears.
They could see how AB turned to look at them and sent them to Chosen so they could help him and be away from the fight. Above the elder, there was a curious announcement that indicated that the situation with his father was extremely serious.
WARNING!
AB protection is being erased!
89%
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dark was having fun fighting against the kids, especially with Noogai, until he managed to eliminate their only means of interaction to more easily take down his damn traitor brother, who had gone to save the new computer of his creator. What he didn't expect was that it came with kids who were living inside the computer... everything was going well until the kids fought back against him. Just as he was about to kill the first one, he hadn't noticed a purple stain nearby until it was too late because instead of killing Red, he was directly killing someone he thought he had killed before.
He was in shock because he never thought this would happen. – "Dad?" – he said in a small whisper as he watched his weapon pierce his father's chest... he could hear the screams of the children and his brother.
He could see how above his father, the application of his father was starting to erase until a younger scream, louder than the others, was heard. He turned to see what was happening and what could occur in these moments... it was the orange one who stood up desperately and hugged his father in panic.
He could see how the boy was holding onto his father tightly. – "Dad! Please! Don't go!" – shouted the boy, who was like them, crying, and before the purple one could say anything, he vanished.
Dark didn't know what to say in these moments and was so lost staring at his hands that he hadn't noticed something green and orange was attacking him. The others were watching the fight unfold, and some were looking at the notification panel of AB that was fading away, all in a panic because their father had died and they didn't know what to do in these moments.
-----------------------------------------
AB was in the same place where he had been erased, but at least he was grateful to be able to continue seeing what was happening and more so as his youngest son was fighting and he was not surprised that Segundo had powers since all Hollows have them or so he believed which he was using to fight with one of his older sons... he knew he had to intervene before they killed Dark... so he gently touches his youngest son and that causes him to be able to hear him.
AB although he did not know how he had gotten there... understood that he had to do something to stop the fight. - Segundo... you have to stop... I'm fine... get home and you'll see me tonight - AB comments and that causes his son to just leave Dark on the ground.
He could see how his son regained consciousness of what he was doing and faded from that place and he understood that he was waking up. When he wakes up it is not because of the alarm that is always there for when he wants to take a nap, it is his phone since DJ was calling him and he wonders what was happening so he answers. - Mmm friend... what's wrong? – Alan asks confused because his friend was calling him.
That's how he found out that they had to record the new AVG episode tomorrow and he promised that they would record the new episode but that right now he had to finish doing maintenance on his computer again and DJ just laughs at his best friend's misfortune and hangs up. Alan went to fix his computer until he could return to outernet and now he was watching it carefully and realized something. – They're not dreams – he said in a low voice and quickly changed his expression because the dreams he has in that place are real… but it must be a coincidence… all his hope went to waste when he saw that after taking them out of there, he came closer.
He could see that he was nervous and he didn't know why that was happening. – Alan… do you know about AB? – he asks in a low voice while outside there was no reaction and only the cursor was still. – I just want to know if you know about my father – he comments again.
Alan is shocked and looks at his application that had restarted and understands one thing… everything he did in his dreams is real… he clears his panic and looks at Segundo calmly and writes to him. “Yes… one of my oldest creations and it is computer security… don’t worry about it… tonight you will see it and security will be fine” he writes while looking at the screen and Segundo just nods and waits for the night… Alan just turns off the computer while covering his eyes.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chosen and Dark were in their house while the young man looks at his hands. – I killed dad… he had survived and I killed him… and this time for good – he says and tears fall from his eyes… Chosen doesn’t know what to say… she just hugs him and they cry together.
Chapter 3: Mango and its problems
Summary:
Mango should have returned to his old job
Chapter Text
That night, the children were waiting for the app to bring their father back, as they had seen him die in front of them and were scared... they hoped he was okay at that moment.
The app glitched a bit but then he appeared... the person they were waiting for, their father, was there and well. Without waiting for him to speak, they rushed into his arms, causing him to stumble, but the oldest was smarter and had summoned a white hand that caught them. AB was worried about his children because it was the first time they had seen him die, and he knew that wouldn’t be good for their mental health.
AB was exhausted but wouldn’t let his children have nightmares. - I’m fine... nothing can hurt me,- he said, until he remembered that he could be hurt if someone harmed him in the real world, but they shouldn’t know that... at least not for now.
The children clung to their father even tighter, filled with fear. - We were so scared...- Green whispered softly as he clung to his father. - We thought you would never be with us again.
AB knew what that meant... the children didn’t want to lose him, and he didn’t want to lose them either. - You know I’ll never leave, right? I’m strong, so I’ll always be with you,- he said playfully while tickling them, which made the little ones laugh.
Unbeknownst to them, two guests had arrived, one of whom would completely surprise both adults watching over the children.
Mango didn’t know why Purple had convinced him to come here, especially considering that the others would be asleep.
Purple, on the other hand, was happy because he knew his adoptive father was upset that the children didn’t have a guardian, which is why they came.
Purple was looking for the kids when he heard the laughter of the four and saw them on the floor being attacked by their guardian with tickles. -Kids!- Purple shouted excitedly as he ran towards them, followed by Mango, who was exhausted.
The other children got off their father and ran towards Purple to talk among themselves, as they were super excited now that their father had comforted them. AB got up from the floor to see what was happening when he looked at Mango, and the latter was also in shock at seeing his former friend.
AB was very upset because he hadn't seen his friend in a while. -ORANGE MANGO TANGO! WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN!?- AB shouted as he ran straight towards Mango, who started to run away since he knew it was his fault right now.
Mango knew that his best friend was locked in a computer every time the creator made a new stick... so he had to assume that one of the computers would be his friend's creator's, but he never thought he'd be in front of him now. -AB! I CAN EXPLAIN IT!- he shouted in panic as he was followed by a cursor and a hand all over the computer.
The children were in a state of shock since they never thought their parents were acting like this, and even more so in a childish manner. Why was the colored gang's father playing with Mango and when AB finally caught him, the opponent was just waving him around.
AB was teasing his friend because it was his way of getting revenge. -I hope you don't just run away like that with this,- AB said, annoyed, while Mango begged for mercy to stop him from agitating him. The purple Hollow puts his friend down, and he just holds on to a folder while he was dizzy.
Mango now knew he shouldn't have disappeared like that... at least he should have called his best friend... before he could say anything, the children ran up to them. "Do they know each other!?" the children shouted, very curious, especially because why didn't they know about this about their parents since they never talk about their past.
The adults only looked at each other for a moment before knowing what to say... but there was no option to hide their relationship. -Yes... we've known each other... we've been friends for 10 years or more... I'm not sure since I don't count time,- AB comments, laughing nervously.
Mango nods at AB's words since they've both lost count of how long they've been friends. — Together we built one of the largest companies in Outersite… — Mango proudly comments — until I resigned after Goldie's death.
AB was in shock as he had no idea his beloved godson had died. — Why am I only just finding out that Goldie… my godson died! — the eldest cried in pain as he looked at his best friend.
Mango could now understand why the company hadn't taken a break and why the news was still in bright colors and hadn't used the navy blue and black sparkles that was always used when the boss was mourning… he had never told them Goldie had died. — I'm sorry, AB, for not telling you… I was so immersed in my grief that… I forgot to tell you why… — Mango was now embarrassed and above all hurt because he knew his friends would have helped him in every way.
AB looked at his friend while his children and his friend's adopted son looked at them worriedly… he just sighed and hugged Mango. — It doesn't matter... at least you're okay... and you can go back to work at the company again... you know you're always welcome.
The other stiffened upon learning that his position at his old company was still open... but now he had a problem. - Um... I think there's a problem,- he laughed nervously, feeling the change in the room.
The kids knew Mango was in trouble because his father was smiling sinisterly and looked like he wanted to kill someone. -Someone's in trouble,- Green said quietly, and the kids went to hide behind the couch.
AB smiled and looked at his friend intensely. -Tell me... why would that be a problem?- he questioned in a soft voice, which meant danger to the kids.
Mango was sweating profusely and now he wondered why he hadn't gone back to his old company... until he remembered that Maroon would make fun of him. -It's because Rocket Corp. hired me...- he muttered quietly, and AB just started laughing.
Mango now felt offended by why his friend was laughing at him for his job and wanted to know what was so funny so he gently pushed him and looked at him questioningly… AB looking at his friend just wiped his tears and calmed down a bit. -I’m surprised that you chose to work with that company that is barely recovering from its economic downturn.- said the purple Hollow amusedly.
Mango didn't say anything because his friend was right and was practically silently asking him what position he was in. -Fine! I'll tell you what position I'm in, but stop making fun of them!- he shouted, annoyed, as he watched his friend sit down on the couch. The children were now looking at him with even more curiosity than before. -I'm an engineer...
AB was just dying of laughter until he calmed down because Segundo hit him lightly to stop him from laughing anymore. -Well... it's a good position... only for someone who was previously the chief engineer and leader of that division in my company.- he commented amusedly.
Mango just left there, annoyed because his friend was making fun of him, but before he could cross the threshold, he was stopped by a hug. -I missed you, and please come here more often...
Mango laughed a little and nods. Purple was already at his father's side and said goodbye to his friends. AB knew he had to answer a lot of questions from his children and could already feel them ready to bombard him.
---------------------------------------
Mango knew he had to be at his new job in about 10 minutes and was regretting not going to his old job to apply for his position...since he didn't have to be in the office at 6 am there. Once he got to the office, he noticed there were wanted posters and recognized him as AB's son and knew everything was so messed up because this would be completely messed up.
When he saw the boss, he realized he was his best friend's oldest son and immediately knew this would be a drag. He regrets not being able to go back to his old company because now he knows the brothers are chasing each other...AB won't be happy if he finds out.
Chapter 4: Things are said
Summary:
:D
Chapter Text
Yellow remembers something that had happened in the event they had experienced when his father had saved them but he had died in that place, he still had nightmares and he was not the only one since his brothers were not yet ready to leave their father every time he came at night so they could sleep without having nightmares since they were too overwhelmed, until now he realizes that his father had left the computer so he had to ask how he had left if he had always stayed inside the computer. He waits for him patiently alone since he did not want to overwhelm his brothers with his questions since they had not yet overcome the events and less the youngest of them.
At night, he waited for his father in front of the app, although he also wanted to go in to see what was there, but his father had been very strict in not allowing him to enter because it was too dangerous, and he didn't know why. Yellow had fallen asleep without knowing that the older one had arrived and, with a soft smile, he carried him to sleep, but the little one had woken up. - Dad! - Yellow said excitedly as he quickly got out. - I have so many questions!
AB was surprised at this moment, as he thought he would fall asleep and not have any questions. His screams had also woken up all his brothers, who had been asleep for an hour in the eldest's room. - Tell me... what are your questions? - the eldest asked curiously to his son, who was in his arms.
The boy smiled and got out of his father's arms and went to get his blackboard. AB sat on the couch, and his other children sat next to him, as they were also curious about the questions their brother would ask him once Yellow returned. - Good! My first question is... can you get off the computer? - Yellow said, completely curious.
AB smiled at his curious son and saw that his other children were looking at him with their big eyes, hoping he would answer that question. - Yes, I can get off the computer, but I can't leave the computer while you're here... since I'm the antivirus, so I must always be on the computer - the eldest commented calmly.
Yellow began writing frantically in his notebook while also drawing his father's app on the board. - How is the app stopping you from leaving here? - the boy asks curiously. AB silently gets up and opens the portal and tries to go through it, but chains appear on his hands and feet and pull him back into the computer, slamming the portal shut. - They're chains that prevent you from leaving.
AB nods while carefully rubbing his hands. This event had scared his children a lot since it was so sudden. - I can only leave when you're not at the computer- AB gently comments to his children.
Before Yellow could continue with his avalanche of questions, he was interrupted by his red brother. "Dad! How do you know the king?" he asks with excessive curiosity, and the others look at him as well.
AB sighs a little even though he had already told them he knew him. – Well… I know it because before you were here I could log in and out of the computer as I pleased…since I only had to come here to clean once a month – he said and realized that he shouldn't have said that because now the kids think it's his fault and are crying. – But it was boring being there…so I feel very lucky to have you here with me.
Even so, the children clung to their father, feeling guilty, and AB also felt guilty for having said that, especially knowing that his children are the ones who blame themselves when it's obviously not his fault... so he knew he would be comforting them all night. - It's not your fault... it will never be your fault, children.
The computer was silent as the children had fallen asleep in their father's arms. The eldest seriously thought that he should remove the virus status from his children so he could go out with them wherever they wanted when he was asleep... since after all, it was still his computer...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mango could tell that he was scared of his new boss and even more so because he had pictures of his friend's son and he crossed out the picture and then he had drawings of his friend that had words like "are you okay?" or "father, wait...you'll be with me soon" and he had only discovered them because he had entered the wrong room so he went into the bathroom and took out his phone and sent a message to a friend.
TAX CHAT (Maroon)
Away: Maroon!
Taxes: Finally, the Away shows up.
Away: I'm sorry! I shouldn't have left you without an explanation.
Taxes: Yes... you have a lot to explain... now tell me before I block you.
Away: Gold died... and I fell into depression, causing me to isolate myself, and I'd made a lot of mistakes... but I'm better now, and now I can come back.
Taxes: ...
Taxes: You know we could have helped you.
Away: I know.
Taxes: We'll talk about that another time... now tell me, what's going on?
Taxes changed Away's nickname to Depression.
Depressive: Really? But it doesn't matter, look at this.
Insert photo of drawings from Victim's room.
Depressive: I shouldn't have looked for a job here.
Taxes: First of all…it's scary…secondly…
Taxes: haha ...That's what you get for going to the competition!
Mango just grumbled as he headed off to work. At least he knew his friends still cared about him...since they were annoying each other. Unbeknownst to him, he was being watched by someone in the shadows, and it was the agent assigned to keep an eye on him because they discovered he was working for NoCorp Communications, one of Victim's biggest rivals because it also makes high-quality technological devices.
The victim was waiting for the agent to arrive with new information about Mango so she could find out what the people from that company were doing (the company belonged to her father, and she didn't know it). When the agent finally arrived, they started walking and went straight to a section and entered a room... inside, it was a room... or rather, it was one of the containment boxes, but it was decorated to make it more welcoming.
The agent wasn't fazed by the room... he knew for a fact that his boss/friend wants his father with him. - Tell me... What did you discover? - the victim asks his colleague.
The leader of the mercenary team knows he hadn't discovered much and that he only discovered that he's very good at fixing things at work. - Not much... I just know he's good at repairs... nothing more.
Chapter 5: Visit
Summary:
Mango and Maroon go to visit AB's kids...but they find them logging into the AB security app.
Chapter Text
The children knew their father wouldn't be home until tonight and that their uncle Alan would be working all day... so it was their chance to log into their father's app. They hadn't been able to do so before because their uncle always blocked them from accessing the app, and they had never known why that place was forbidden so they wouldn't be allowed in.
Yellow was using his computer to keep their uncle Alan's guardians and protectors, the apps, from sleeping, since they had previously discovered that those apps wouldn't let them in either.
Blue, who was winged, watched as Red and Green moved their uncle's protectors to test whether they were still asleep or not.
Second was looking for his brothers to give him the signal so he could access their father's app and see what was inside. His brothers received a thumbs-up signal, so he clicked on the app, but unfortunately, Firefox still woke up, taking Second away, and Google closed the security app.
The others were being stopped by the other apps, and Verde, in a moment of anger, looked at his yellow brother. -You weren't supposed to keep Uncle Alan's protectors asleep!- he shouted angrily, but Yellow was annoyed and offended, because that was enough to doubt his abilities.
Yellow, who was under Explorer, looked at his brother angrily. - Well! It's not my fault Uncle Alan's security is too strong! It's very difficult to break security because Dad is part of it - he shouted back. Unbeknownst to them, two sticks arrived behind them.
Mango and Maroon were watching as the children were pulled away from an app that had their friend's name on it. - So AB is locked in there - Maroon commented, causing the children to stop arguing and fighting to look at the newcomers.
The children were excited to see a mango, but they didn't know who it was, who was next to someone they knew. - King! Who's that next to you? - Red asked, confused as to who it was.
Mango just laughs a little until he sees Maroon, who's looking at him, "Are you serious? King?" Mango, with that look, looks away. - It's Maroon... your dad's other friend - Mango comments.
Maroon only thought it was the airhead until all the kids screamed excitedly upon learning their dad had another friend... why did they call Maroon "uncle?" Maroon was shocked. - Oh... I didn't imagine it... besides, I thought there would only be one! - Maroon shouts, surprised.
Mango just laughs at his friend, but now he looks at the kids more seriously. - What were you doing? - he asks, and the embarrassed kids just look away while the guards stand near the security app.
Segundo knew he should say what they were doing to maybe get their help getting into the app. - We want to see Dad's app... but Uncle Alan's guards won't let us in - Orange comments as he looks at the adults.
Mango and Maroon looked at the children and then at each other. - Well…we can help…since we’re curious too - Maroon comments, since as the co-CEO of a technology and journalism company, he was curious about how it works. - Mango, do you think you could open it and keep the guards from catching us?
Mango looks at his friend and nods as he takes black gloves out of his jacket and puts them on. Yellow, seeing something new, stands next to Mango to find out what he would do and is surprised that he could manipulate things on the computer. Alan's guardians tense up and go straight to Mango, but they are stopped with a single movement of his hand... while with the other he takes out a panel to open the security application.
Everyone there was surprised by the fact that the security application looked simple, but the computer's features were present and AB was also seen sleeping in a bed. The main platform said "Sleeping... but still alert." The children entered the application and were exploring their father's application since they had never seen it.
The two adults present didn't know what to think... they could see that the app was keeping their friend there, and they couldn't do anything but watch the children from getting hurt while they looked at each other and talked silently... they knew they had to find a way to prevent their friend from getting hurt... since most security apps are damaged by the strongest viruses on the internet...
For the children, it was interesting to see what was happening in their father's app. They wanted to know more, so they waited for Yellow to finish reviewing the most superficial part of the code of the app where their father lives. But something had happened, and Mango had to get them out of there before they all got hurt. Alan's guardians grew stronger, practically breaking the control Mango's gloves had over them. That also hurt the tallest pole.
Everyone could see that there was a red warning on the app... "DANGER! SECURITY SYSTEM ACTIVATED!" The adults grabbed the children as they ran from the security system, which in this case is Alan's guardians. For Mango and Maroon, only having to worry about them was better than waking up their main friend, who was sleeping. Now they just had to wait until nightfall so AB could save them, since they knew the protocol wouldn't end until their friend woke up. As for the children, they were more excited than the adults since they had never been able to fight their uncle Alan's guardians, so for them this was better than looking for something to do, so they got out of the grasp of their new uncles who went to fight the guardians... and now the adults were feeling their youth slipping away more quickly because of those children.
Maroon now doesn't regret not having children... he certainly doesn't envy his friends about that. – This is one of the reasons why I don't have children – he said with passion and only murmured that he only likes to spoil children if he knows that with it he can earn more money… so now they are only avoiding them from dying but they know that at night their best friend will punish them all.
Chapter 6: Noogai
Summary:
It's Noogai... he's not happy
Chapter Text
Maroon sits down and takes out his computer to work on the company's shares he has with his friends, Mango sits next to Maroon to see what his friend was doing, the other one just laughs at his companion while sticking his tongue out to imply that he had the opportunity to return to the company, the taller one complained that his friend was making fun of him, but he couldn't do anything since he had refused to return to the company.
Mango looked at his best friend with reluctance. - You know I regret not having returned to the company so stop looking at me like that - the older one said annoyed while he sees a smile plastered on his best friend and almost punches him when he notices that the computer environment was getting more tense... he noticed that the shadows on the computer were getting bigger and he nudged his friend to stop working.
Maroon was going to scold his friend when he notices how the computer's guardians were protecting the children, he turned his gaze to the security application to find out what was happening, but it seemed normal, he felt his friend call his attention again and they both saw the thing that they thought they had contained for years. - Well... if it isn't Noogai... - he comments without emotion and saw that Mango put on his black gloves again to take out the panels and fight.
Mango wasn't happy and now he knew why... the day of the terrorist attack was the same day that Noogai had escaped and now they knew that he was here all this time... - Alright... I'll take care of him... make AB arrive before he finishes eliminating me again... and prevent them from getting close to the children - he comments while running directly towards the black creature that was about to attack Segundo.
Segundo had run towards the animation application to get the animation pencil and thus be able to protect his brothers, he hadn't noticed that Noogai had approached and closes his eyes to receive the attack, but it doesn't arrive, when he opens his eyes he sees how King, his father's friend had arrived and took away the thing that had attacked him, but he still went for the brush.
Maroon arrived at the application and touches it as if it were a door to call his friend's attention, Mango was dodging the attacks that seemed like his best friend's, he saw how the black cursors were arriving too fast while he also had to dodge the whips that were coming from everywhere. - (Almost like AB... but these attacks only remind me of the cursor hand and the cursor... I know that AB showed us all his abilities... this thing is more like something that wants to torture) - he thought until he saw how drawings attack the things and also how the children entered the fray.
The children attack without even thinking and that made Mango even more worried, he did everything possible so that the children wouldn't get hurt and even more because he knew that they don't care about their safety and now he understood why in AB's office there was medicine for stress... because he knew the children damage his best friend's health.
Rojo was dodging the monster's attacks. - Oh!! You missed - he shouted cheerfully while dodging and hitting when he could.
His brothers were also helping despite the fact that King was there when an attack almost hit them directly. - GOOD LUCK FOR NEXT TIME! - they shouted while laughing... since it wasn't the first time this had happened.
Verde was recording this as a live stream so that everyone could see that the monster Noogai was real. - Come on dear viewers... the Monster is real and now I'm being attacked by him... my brothers are fine and even more considering that my uncles are here - he comments calmly while recording what was happening behind him.
The viewers could see what was happening... and even more when Verde turned the camera to where Mango and Maroon were... in the comment box you could see all the viewers were worried about the children who were in danger and even more how they support the adults in taking care of the children.
Before Verde could say anything... a scream was heard and when the camera turned to where it came from it was Maroon. - AB!! GET OUT OF THERE! - he shouted while now kicking the application.
Verde could tell that his uncle Maroon was now angry. - You can see how our uncle is angry with dad for continuing to sleep - he comments while now turning his gaze to his brothers.
Azul was dodging and notices that his brother was recording. - Verde! Stop recording and help us keep this monster busy - he shouted and you could see how Verde was now embarrassed and turned off the transmission to help his family.
Amarillo was finally able to sigh in relief. - About time you arrive - he growled while using the staff to attack the thing that was attacking them while watching Segundo continue concentrated creating to prevent Noogai from being 100% focused, he knew that if King and Maroon weren't here they would be injured at this point.
After a few minutes the security application opened to reveal how AB had arrived and looked tired and a little scared... before he could be as focused as always he felt a strong blow to his head to see how Maroon grabs him by his arm and throws him in front of Noogai, he with a single movement takes his children with a gentle movement. The children, feeling how the computer's security system activates, got too excited. - Dad! - hey shout excitedly while being taken to a safe place.
AB smiles nervously thinking that his nightmares do get stronger every time he realizes that all this could be real. - Don't worry children... we'll solve it - he comments and looks at his friends... until he notices how Maroon looks at him with a you owe us face - I won't pay you because you are terrible babysitters - he comments and Maroon couldn't say anything against that because they couldn't stop the children and even more considering that the computer was almost destroyed and that wasn't Noogai's fault.
The children could see how the adults were attacking the monster that was bothering them for a while with precision since they generally don't see him... but they were excited and more because they had never been able to see their dad fighting with his friends so they were excited.
When the confrontation ended AB put the children to bed and talked with his friends for a while about the years they were separated before everyone had to go home.
Meanwhile in the outer network were Chosen and Dark in their hideout... silent... they didn't know what to do in these moments and even more when one of them can't sleep because he still dreams of the moment that his father had died in his hands and all because he wanted to take revenge on the creator and the entire internet.
Chosen didn't know what to do to make his brother feel better and even less now that the supplies were running out and he knew that his brother won't go because he wasn't well. - Tomorrow I will go for the supplies - he said softly to his brother and he just made a sound that he had heard, he just hopes that everything is fine... and that nothing bad comes out of it.
Chapter 7: Persecution
Summary:
Chosen should have stayed home...Dark was captured...Victim doesn't know who Red is...but what he does know is that his mind is important
Chapter Text
The Chosen One left home to look for supplies and food so that everything would be safe and he wouldn't have to worry, at least for a while. He watched as his brother continued to mope over what he had done to their father... He couldn't believe his father was dead, much less knowing that he was too strong and powerful to be defeated... But there was nothing he could do at that moment, since he should have still been alive, and he didn't understand how his new brother could be so calm about their father's death. So maybe there was a small chance he was still alive, but he wasn't sure if he was, and he didn't want to take the risk.
Unbeknownst to him, someone had called Rocket Corp. The morning was peaceful compared to what was happening in the shadows. The Chosen One continued buying the necessities to live peacefully with his brother... until, sensing danger, he gently averted his gaze so that his pursuers wouldn't realize he had noticed them following him. She knew she had to get out of that place before they got into a fight in such a public place, she dropped her purchases on the floor and ran out of the place without even looking back.
When he finally left the market, he flew off with his powers. He had forgotten all the risks of going out, especially considering he was sealed like a major criminal. Before he could get lost in his thoughts, he felt an attack coming from his right side, so by instinct he dodged it... He could see it was a strange bullet. He didn't know what it was doing until he saw one of the bullets hit an object and it glitched... He knew what it meant. After all, he had seen it once with his father when a virus had defeated him. He could still hear him scream in pain. He didn't want to be under viruses at all.
Chosen unknowingly walked over a stand selling corn sticks while escaping from his pursuers, the vendor only saw how the chase passed and then looked at his cart that was glitching, the vendor already knew what was happening... after all, one is not a good journalist without observation, he takes out his phone and looks at the last message he had... he could only sigh to take out of the stand a leather bag that for the others was normal... he puts the bag on and then runs after the pursuers, for the few sticks that could notice it they only saw him take out three knives before disappearing in a blur of speed.
The mercenaries were after the angel of death. They knew they were so close to having him in their hands, until something happened they never thought would happen. Their vehicles were falling apart... at least it was only three mercenaries who couldn't continue the chase. Agent didn't know why this was happening... since when he looked at the ground, there was no sign of a stick there. Chosen, for his part, was somewhat confused as to why there weren't more shots, but he wouldn't stop to look to find out since he still had pursuers and needed to get home. But not everything went as he expected because he had a small fight in front of his house.
Inside the house Dark came out since he wanted to know where all that damn noise was coming from and when he finally looked where it was coming from he froze when he saw his brother fight and at the same time glichear against a stick that he did not know, he was not going to leave his brother alone ... he had to help him so that's what he does ... he fights against the glasses stick ... he had his virus bracelet with him so this will be easy, between the two brothers they were giving battle to the mercenary, until when he attacked him head-on he could only see his father standing there with red lines on his face. - Do you hate me that much? - asks the illusion and that had frozen it that made it possible for the mercenary to pause it.
Chosen froze because his brother had been defeated, he was going to help him, but he couldn't because the other mercenaries had arrived and now he only had one option, to go look for help with his little brother, so he flies away to go to the computer of his former tormentor, he was flying while he felt like he was leaving his brother, he continued gliding and was in a lot of pain while he wondered how his father had endured the pain for at least three days in a row before being cured by the monster that was his creator. He had reached the monitor and saw how his little brother had approached with his friends ... he looked at the desktop and did not see his father's application and he felt terrible because that means that his father was dead, he did not hear what his brother said, he only begged for help.
He started to show that this is completely serious. - Please! I need your help and your powers - he pleaded, looking desperately at the man.
Segundo was so confused as he mentally pondered what powers he had. - I don’t know what you mean… I don’t have powers,- he said, watching the older man yell at him and get up, then force the other to use his powers. But when he saw that it didn’t work, he simply took his brother because there wasn’t time.
The others followed him, while offscreen, the creator could only grimace as he pulled out a phone to check the messages that had arrived. He could only sigh and look at the portal that led to the outside world. He knew this would be bad… He could only wait until nightfall to save his children from the company and bring them home so they could feel safe.
On the outside net, Chosen and Segundo were fighting the mercenaries until they were stopped. The colored gang had arrived late to save them and they could only watch as they were taken to a place they didn't know, so they went after them to find out where they went and finally be able to rescue them.
----
Early in the morning in the human world, Alan was looking at the new phone he had bought to test his theory, if the world he had dreamed was real, then the phone numbers of his friends from his “dream” are real so he registers them on the new phone to test it without damaging his real phone.
He had created a group with the number of his dream friends.
Crazy Friends Group:
???: Huh? Whose number is this?
AB: Guess~~~
???: Hmm, I don't know
???: Mango?!
???: Maroon?!
AB: LOL
???: Hmm, that writing style... AB!!
???: AB!
AB has changed the name of ??? to Depressive
AB has changed the name of ??? to Taxes.
AB: Much better
Depressive: No better! You're missing me!
Taxes: You're only saying that because you're the depressive of the group.
Depressive changes AB's name to Child Protective Services
Child Protective Services: Hey! Why that name?
Depressive: Because of all the children you have to take care of!
Taxes: I can't argue with the depressive on that score.
Depressive: Hey!
Child Protective Services: Well…I can’t tell you anything.
Alan could only smile for a moment at his friends' games until he realized his worst fear was that they weren't dreams... but something real... He remembers every waking thing he did to his children and feels terrible... He snaps out of it when he sees the messages on his phone.
Depressed: AB... they're hunting your son Chosen.
Taxpayer: That's bad.
AB: Please... protect them...
Depressed: ok
Taxpayer: i will
A few hours passed and Chosen appeared…he already knew that everything had gone wrong and he just hopes that Mango and Maroon can help his children while he waits for nighttime since he couldn't go to sleep because he had important things to do and he just hopes he can hold out until nighttime.
Chapter 8: loss...?
Summary:
loss...?
Chapter Text
Dark was frozen as he was taken to a place he knew for its technologies, he didn't know why they were taking him there and he had a terrible feeling about this... he could see an orange stick that had a phone in its hand and stared at it... before the mercenaries could notice the look, the stick switched interest to the phone so that no one would notice anything strange. Dark was confused, but before he could think more about it, he was left in a white cell where he was thawed.
Seeing the opportunity he now had, he began to attack the walls to get out of there before it was too late... but he couldn't get out and more when the creator's abilities appeared inside the box, he was surprised... it was supposed that only the creators had those abilities and now they were in this place and they were suppressing their powers.
Dark wasn't happy now. - What the hell? - Dark said as he was restrained and the door opened, and someone like him, but gray, came out.
The gray stick looked at him as if he were a new experiment, feeling extremely uncomfortable as he stared at his opponent. He knew he was dangerous, even though he could tell he had no powers. This ability was cultivated by his father, AB, who had taught him how to identify sticks with powers... remembering that still hurt.
Before he could continue in his memories, he heard a voice. "You're not the one I want... but you're with him... so I need your memories," it said firmly, not even expressing any emotion in its voice, and with that, Dark knew this wouldn't be good.
He saw another person enter and there was a device, he felt that he didn't like the experience and even less that he felt how he was paused again...he felt how they put the device on him...he felt so much pain, but even so he refused to scream because he didn't want to show them what he was suffering from, much less with people he didn't know.
---
When Mago went to work that morning he didn't expect AB to send him a message and ask him to take care of his children who were on the outernet, but he couldn't deny anything to his friend because he knew he was worried about what would happen that day... only an hour had passed and two of the mercenaries came in with one of his best friend's children, he knew he had to report what had happened despite everything... he changed his gaze to his phone to hide it.
Crazy Friends
Depressive: I have news.
Taxes: I have news too.
Child Protective Services: Because I feel like I wouldn't like them.
Taxes: It's because you wouldn't like them.
Taxes: Your son, Chosen, was persecuted... don't worry, I damaged some of their machines, but it won't be enough.
Depressive: And I'm with him... Dark was captured and is with this company...
Depressive: Besides, they put the memory machine in him...
Child Protective Services: Because I feel like that machine is harmful.
Depressive: It's psychologically harmful since it forces the subject to relive their worst memories.
Child Protective Services: That's not good.
Taxes: It's not...
Taxes: Besides, I'm close to your children's location and I can tell you they're not okay... I can't reveal myself because it's dangerous.
Depressed: I'll get ready... they'll definitely come here...
Taxes: Do it... they captured Segundo and Chosen... they're heading there...
Child Protective Services: I'll take care of it tonight...
Child Protective Services: Mango... help them as much as you can
Depressed: I'll do that, my friend
Mango looked at his phone before putting it away, he knew what he had to do and more considering that the entire company would go on high alert at night because his best friend is an overprotective father who would do everything in his power to protect his children and he knew in all his splendor that it would be a disaster like when he tried to get into trouble... since when he read the news he wanted to intervene and things happened, now he just hopes that everything is okay.
----
Victim was looking through the memories and had learned that his name was Dark, until he arrived when the battle was, but he stopped when Dark stabbed his father... that action alone had made everyone there remain in a state of shock while some looked at their boss with concern... everyone was so lost, but a dull noise was heard that caught everyone's attention... seeing how their boss was on the ground crying in pain.
Agent sided with his best friend because he knew the pain he was going through and more because of the fact that he had lost the last person who was always with him when he was created and tortured, he just hopes that he does not panic since he had to be strong for what they would do in the next moments and more because his plan to have the creator will be brought.
Mango was watching what was happening until the doors opened and Chosen and Segundo were shown, paused as he watched his boss wipe his tears while signaling the agent to take Dark to a cell since at the moment he wasn't feeling well since he had to do something with Chosen and his torturer's new creation, he still thought he hadn't noticed the agent was behind him.
The agent was curious so he touched the stick's shoulder and saw how he was startled. "You know it's rude to stare at the boss," said the taller one and saw how Mango turned quickly but almost fell and the agent avoided it.
Mango was surprised, but he kept looking at the officer. -agent?- he asked, pulling away while standing back. - I know this is a bad time, but I'm just curious.
The agent could only nod at Mango's words, but he noticed he was holding his phone…he could see parts of a message…- Mango…please take care of my children - he said, but he thought she was referring to the young children of his friends.
Chapter 9: Maroon
Summary:
Maroon makes sure that the other children of AB are safe so that they don't do stupid things... And even less so now that his father can only perform at night
Chapter Text
Maroon seriously thinks all of this is exhausting and that he needs to be paid after all of it, especially when he's babysitting. He knew very well that AB still had his destructive tendencies, especially considering that he used to be a dictator... then he simply changed his perspective when he saw how the stick figures with powers were being hunted. So at that moment, he faked his death to become AvA.
He could see how the children were looking for the Company, and that was a good starting point since, if they knew the place and its strategic zone, it was a great opportunity to launch an attack and win... He followed the children, and when they discovered the place, they attacked directly, which caused Maroon to crash into a pole… He knew his best friend’s children were completely impulsive and would do everything recklessly.
So he went to help them and keep them safe while thinking simply... so he just threw knives to distract them until he watched in horror as Amarillo was taken, and he immediately knew that AB would kill him, and he didn’t want his friend’s child to be murdered. He got the other kids out of there before they did something even dumber and ended up getting themselves killed at that moment.
The children were completely confused by the fact that a hooded stick figure had taken them and gotten them out of there so quickly that they couldn’t say anything, not until they realized they had arrived at another company and were taken inside.
Now they were screaming for answers while Maroon was about to pray for nightfall... but before he could do anything to calm the kids, a small cursor appeared. He recognized it because it was AB’s pet and his emotional support animal when he arrived after the disasters involving his children… so he was surprised that the little cursor was able to comfort the kids, allowing Maroon to take them to a place where they could rest.
Moments before, Victima was looking into Chosen’s memories while searching for a way to bring back the Creator. When he noticed a yellow stick figure had been able to summon the damned Creator, he knew he had to intervene right then to capture him. “I want that damn stick figure!” he shouted angrily while having Dark and Chosen on the floor being treated in the worst way imaginable.
The workers began to move at full speed, while a small group was experimenting with Segundo’s abilities until the security alarms sounded, and that’s when he saw the group of kids fighting his workers. “Agent, take care of it,” he said emotionlessly.
Mango, who was nearby, screamed. “KIDS!” he shouted in fear, even more so when he noticed Maroon was there. “Maroon!” He didn’t even notice the workers who had come up behind him. Victima avoided looking at his employee to avoid suspicion, signaling silently for the workers to inject something into Mango’s neck.
Chosen and Dark were surprised that the big orange stick figure knew the children and the hooded figure, and before they could say anything, they were kicked by Victima. “Search their clothes and see what they have,” the gray stick figure growled as he walked away.
The other mercenaries began investigating and noticed the phone had a message from someone nicknamed “Taxes.” They clearly saw that the message said the children were safe. The mercenaries took Mango to the box to investigate his memories.
The shortest mercenary knew he was his friend and looked at the phone again. “Mr. Tango’s message says: ‘the children are safe,’” said Ballista as the others looked at him.
Primitivo and Peligro thought the employee was worried about the children, but the real question was who the masked figure was. “We need to find out who protected the children and where they are to bring them here,” Primitivo said seriously as they kept inspecting things and found a photo with two more stick figures. They recognized one of them as Victima’s father.
Upon seeing the photo, Peligro immediately understood why Mango might be the children's father—he had heard that Mango had adopted before… but that he knew the boss’s father? That meant Mr. Mango had to be treated in the best way possible, since he knew the boss’s father. “Call the boss and tell him we found his father’s friend,” Peligro said while Ballista ran toward the boss’s office.
Victima, who was stabbing the photo of the cursor with a knife as a way to vent—having just found out that his father died because of one of Noogai’s creations—lifted his head when the door opened and saw it was one of his mercenaries. “Ballista… What is it?” he asked coldly, hoping for at least some information about one of his future ex-employees.
Ballista looked at his boss seriously. “Mr. Tango is your father’s friend, sir,” he said, which left Victima in shock. “Boss…”
The gray stick figure got up and ran to where the other mercenaries were and saw his former employee in the most comfortable box—the one meant for his father… He entered and began shaking Mango to wake him, and when he did, he hugged him.
Agent, who had just arrived, was surprised to see his boss hugging Mango, especially since the orange stick figure looked confused—and he wasn’t the only one. The two terrorists were just as confused until the gray stick figure finally spoke. “You knew my father… you’re my father AB’s friend,” he finally said, clinging tightly to Victima while crying in his arms.
Mango, knowing that Victima was heartbroken from not seeing his father for so many years, hugged him back tightly. “It’s okay, little one…” he said softly, comforting his boss. But now he thought he’d soon be his ex-boss, because there’s no way he’d stay here any longer—especially knowing what the eldest son of his best friend was capable of.
Agent was about to ask something until Peligro interrupted him. “Mr. Mango is the friend of our boss’s late father,” the subordinate said, watching how the boss was hugging the older stick figure even tighter.
Understanding that his boss clearly needed someone who had known his father, Agent said, “Let’s leave them alone so they can talk,” and they all nodded, leaving so the elder could speak with what might have been his uncle.
Chapter 10: Mango
Summary:
Mango reveals that AB is alive
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
The orange stick kept consoling the eldest son of his best friend, as he looked so devastated and he didn’t know why. He thought maybe it was because he was too far from home, but then he remembered how AB had told him what the creator was like at that moment. He saw the other sons and winced at how injured they were.
Victima was calming down and shifted his gaze to what he now knew was his uncle. “Uncle,” he said in a low voice, trembling intensely. “They,” he muttered, trembling with rage, “KILLED FATHER!” he roared as he clung tighter to his uncle.
Mango, completely confused about what the eldest meant by blaming his brothers, could only see Chosen and Dark trembling. “What are you talking about?” asked the orange stick, puzzled.
Seeing his uncle’s confusion, Victima had one of his people who was still there show the memory of his father’s death. The subordinate did as his boss requested and displayed the moment on the screen. The largest stick watched the screen closely.
Mango could only see that his best friend was being dramatic and rolled his eyes as he watched him being impaled. He knew AB wouldn’t die, because according to him... death doesn’t exist in dreams—though he still didn’t know what that meant. He assumed he was just pretending. “Your father isn’t dead… he’s just being dramatic,” he said, which made Segundo nod, since he had spent more time with his father.
The three older brothers turned to Mango, shocked, wondering how that could be an act. “How?” asked Victima once he recovered from the state of shock.
Mango simply pointed at his best friend’s eyes, indicating there was a playful glint in them, as well as deep concern. “His father can’t die… his creator won’t let him die at all,” he said quietly, pointing to some white sparkles that no one had noticed, surrounding Dark’s weapon.
The older brothers were in shock, unaware of this... and they didn’t notice how Mango was putting on black gloves and stepping out of the box with their help, while they were having a breakdown over the revelation that their father was alive. Mango had taken the memory device and was finally looking at it.
Victima, who had finally found his voice, became happy knowing his father was alive—he would finally have him back. “That’s great news!” he shouted, and when he turned to his side and saw his uncle wasn’t there, he looked around and spotted him playing with the memory glasses—and that’s when he knew he was in trouble. “Um… Uncle?” he asked quietly.
Mango stopped looking at the glasses and focused on his lost nephew, waiting for him to calm down, though he knew that wouldn’t happen anytime soon. So he began to speak. “I’m not mad… but do you want to know more about your father?” he asked gently.
The brothers fell silent. Segundo knew that offer only meant they would finally learn what their father had been hiding. “Yes!” shouted Segundo, ready for anything, and Mango just smiled and put on the glasses.
Victima, seeing his uncle put on those memory-damaging glasses, got scared… but knowing about his father was what he wanted most. That way, he could improve the box to keep his father safe inside it, so he wouldn’t hurt himself anymore—and so he could save him from the creator.
Chosen and Dark were worried, since Victima’s expression didn’t signal anything good, so they could only watch as Mango connected to the screen with the glasses on and with the help of gloves they hadn’t even known he had until now.
Notes:
This is getting more and more interesting... AB's past and how it arrived will soon be revealed
