It was merely a twinkle in the sea of darkness, a small gilded star. A false warmth that always lingered with him whenever the moon seemed to glow the brightest.
Blueberry Yogurt Cookie wasn’t a stranger to the true, unbridled Knowledge. How you can lay it bare in the wavering spotlight, no matter how ugly it can be, or twist and conform into something new, something deceitful, add some frills, glitter even!
It wouldn’t hurt to sprinkle in a little humor or fun in its teachings, add a big opening of caramel explosions in the faces of his students, or disappear in a big puff of sparkly smoke before scaring one of them. Slip in a few wrong facts into his lectures, its heterochromatic gaze flitting from student to student to see if any of them noticed. It helps keep everyone on their toes, even the Ancient itself admittedly! Even if saying this may roll the eyes of many others,
It felt good to be a liar.
Though , there was one being, a blinding light that dwarfed the soft glow of the moon.
A Beast, the leader of all the other ‘creatures’ who dared to hurt his friends. The Angel of Death,
The Sun,
The Ultimate ̷T̷̷r̷̷u̷̷t̷̷h̷.
A supernova in the calm night sky.
Blueberry Yogurt’s other half,
Radiant Vanilla Cookie.

Nothing, nothing made sense anymore.
The warmth it felt within him was completely snuffed out, the harsh rays of light clawing at its midnight form, drawing out shivers from the Ancient. Mouths formed into cruel crescent smiles around him, spilling out deafening laughter at its expense.
He felt angry, frustrated tears start to well up in its duel-colored eyes, grip tightening around his staff; with only a simple flick of a wrist, the light fractured and blinked out of existence, the curtains of glow parting ways, revealing the true source of all of his suffering. That trickster, that liar . What truth can be found from a Beast ? Its former ‘Guiding Light’?
That... That liar! liar ! Pants on fire!
He’ll make him pay ...
For everything he’s done.
If killing off the leader of this who ‘fiasco’ will end all the carnage and destruction the Beast’s caused.
Then he’ll do exactly that.
Its heels clicked against the black surface of the once golden tiled floors, now destroyed and ripped away from their battle only a few moments ago. Crumbled pillars contorted and shook, doing its best to bear the weight of the cracked, marbled ceilings above. Standing eerily still, at the top of the steps of this ruined throne room, stood Radiant Vanilla Cookie .
His grip was tight around his staff, the flower mounted atop it still shining brightly, while the owner was bathed in the darkness. Long locks of the Beasts hair cascaded down onto the floor, pooling around him along with his robes, a large, cone-hat perched on his crown. In the pulsating source of light, his form contorts into a spindly white creature, eyes glittering with a rainbow of refracted light, then to an angelic being, form so incomprehensible it even forced the quickly approaching Ancient to look away from the sudden headache rippling through its forehead.
More swirls of starry magic appeared around Blueberry Yogurt Cookie, as he immediately flung the sharp projectiles towards the ‘Beast’.
A soft frown tugged at the lips of Radiance, a crack in his facade of placidness, as the stars shifted away him, flying upwards and becoming tied to gilded strings,
The sight made the scholar’s jam boil even more.
Just fight back goddammit!
What happened to that simple healer who brutalized that fool of a king??
“ Please! I don’t want to hurt you..! ”
Yet . He sent out another barrage of attacks, hoping to at least land one on Vanilla.
But the ‘Beast’ refused to falter, diverting each whizz of magic away, turning the shadows of the moon into brightly colored decorations across the floors or walls.
The blonde-frosted cookie huffed, brows furrowing. “ Listen to me!” He demanded, though his voice was too soft to be anything near authoritarian.
No... It refuses to back down now.
Why would be listen to such a more deplorable liar like him ?
In a burst of magic, Blueberry Yogurt Cookie engulfed everything into darkness, or well, almost everything. The light around him was quickly snuffed out, as harsh winds produced by the sheer power of its magic nearly knocked it over. He squeezed his eyes shut, digging the end on its staff into the floor.
Then suddenly,
Deafening Silence.
.
..

The Ancient snapped open its eyes, only to be faced with a complete, glittering void. Yellow stars were hung high above him, there was no moon present in this mimic of a night-sky. A grumble escaped its throat as he looked around, searching for that light, those small twinkles that move around like leaves in the wind. Those telltale signs of that shining Beast nearby.
Though, it wasn’t long until it saw ‘Him’, form now fully contorted and warped, leaving only a completely white silhouette with highlights of yellow, with only the outlines of his robes could be seen hanging on his body, hair draped down onto the... Floor? (It ended up taking the entire floor too, oops)
Blueberry Yogurt grinned wildly, using his free hand to push up its monocle.
It appears that the Beast can’t take full form in a place like this.
Its staff poofed into a scroll and feathered-pen, crazed scribbles of notes, thoughts, observations, and facts could be seen bunched and clumped up together, but it doesn’t matter. He dragged its hand down the page, watching as all the letters break apart to the sides, leaving in now more room to jot down in its crazed thoughts.
Before it could jot down this observation of his, a light loomed over him.
For a few moments, the Ancient froze, fully expecting Radiant Vanilla to bash his head in, stab it, start ripping its dough apart!
But nothing came.
Only a voice, eerily calm, chiming in.
“ ... Are you feeling alright now? ” The glowing silhouette tilted his head, locks of hair curtaining over his now open eyes, revealing the mismatched yellow irises that were hidden.
Blueberry Yogurt blinked, realizing it’d been staring for too long, the scroll twirling back into his beloved staff as he jabbed it into the chest of the beast, the look of crazed joy completely disappearing back into a scowl. “ Stay back! ” The blue cookie hissed, before a smirk suddenly tugged at its lips, “ Unless you want me to take you with this entire place! ”
That brought another negative expression from the other, though, for only a moment. A soft smile cracked across his face, voice suddenly taunting, “ Have I? It seemed that I made it much better. ”
“ I made sure that you’d follow the path of light, the truth. Even if I had to… Double down and get onto your level! In other words: Lie to you. ” He clasped his hands together, mockingly holding it up close to his face, “ Honestly, I might’ve gotten a little too in character though… I apologize for that! ”
Radiant Vanilla’s form shifted, his hands now unlatched from each others, one of them gently pressed up onto the Sage’s cheek.
It felt… Cold… Too cold.
Such a glowing being is not supposed to be this cold.
Blueberry Yogurt falters, all fight vanishing from within it, as he subconsciously leaned into the touch, the scrapes from their battle earlier now fading.
“ … You’re pitying me, aren’t you? ” It accuses, placing its hand over the Beast’s
“ I’m not. ”
“ You are. ”
...
... ...
Despite the back and forth,
Blueberry Yogurt Cookie let the other do his best to mend the small, insignificant injuries he may have given to the Ancient, a scowl still etched on its face, probably permanent now.
Either way, he only had one question on its mind when the Healer tended to him, shivering hands doing their ‘magic’.
“ How can the Sun be so cold..? ”
