Zari's finger swipes across the screen, scrubbing back through the video on the phone to the beginning.
The video plays a perfectly angled video of Nate eating shit. Pulling a laugh out of Zari.
She's not the only one as a more excited laugh sounds from behind her, a chest brushing against her back in time with the exhales.
“Wait, watch this part again.” Zari goes to scroll back and swipes too far.
It shouldn't be a problem except it scrolls too far over, turning to the next picture in her camera roll. A picture of Charlie sleeping.
She isn't fast enough to swipe back to the hilarious video.
“Was that?.....”
“No.”
Zari should've known something was up when her response was met with silence. Instead she's surprised when fingers suddenly push into her sides, making her squeal and curl up, trying to get away.
After enough squirming and losing the battle to surprising strong fingers (not that surprising if she was remembering yesterday evening). The phone is snatched from her hands.
“Oh!”
She watches as Charlie scrolls for an embarrassingly long time through the pics. Zari feels her face heat up, she knows how many pics there are of Charlie in there. Photos taken of Charlie laughing with the rest of the legends, Charlie with a soft smile they seemed to only give her. Just Charlie, Charlie, Charlie filling her phone and her mind.
An unreadable expression takes over Charlie's features as they scroll further through.
“This is…”
“Listen it's not-”
“Cute.”
A questioning noise flies out of Zari's at the other's statement.
“I never really stuck around anywhere long enough to have this many photos of me. It's nice, being able to look back on these moments. Thank you.”
Zari feels a smile slide onto her face at the fact that she had given the immortal ex fate something they've never experienced before and liked.
Zari settles back into her place against Charlie's chest. A pair of lips press to her head in a kiss as Zari switches to her camera app, ready to capture this moment and many more between them.
“Do you think this thing can flim us shagging too?”
