“I want us to do a roleplay.”
There was a pregnant moment of silence before Light spoke, tasting the foreign word on his tongue.
“A roleplay?” Light asked with reservation dripping from each syllable.
“I will be L and you will be Kira,” L continued as if he couldn't sense the weariness in the way Light responded.
“You are L.”
“If I do this, are you going to stop accusing me of being Kira?” It's a valid question and gives L a moment of thought.
“Yes,” L lied easily.
And then L squeezed, applying the pressure around Light's hand, cutting off his own airway. Light’s eyes darkened in the glow of the light.
