A few hours earlier it had all been completely fine when they had first arrived at the campsite, they were more focused on setting things up then focusing on their surroundings. Setting up the tents, making sure they had all their gear with them, and so on. At the end we all just kind of collapsed on our folding chairs. Played cards and laughed. A peaceful beginning to our weekend trip.
When we decide to go to bed that is when it all went to shit. I was with Edwards in the tent. Juile was alone in her own tent. While Celeste and Rosa were together. The beast had waited until we were tired and alone before pouncing. It was quiet as it snuck into our tents and ate us. If I hadn’t woken up to go to the bathroom I would be completely dead by now. If I had closed the blinds before napping I would be dead by now. Walking back and seeing that thing eat Edward made me freeze. What woke me up out of my state was seeing Edward blink. Edward was frozen unable to do anything but lay there as he was eaten alive.
Back then I quickly made my way to Julie, the closest tent. Only to see that it had already gotten to her. It didn’t even eat her whole, it took out big chunks out of her, but not everything. Leaving behind a misshapen corpse. That is when he screamed. Bringing the beast to his side. It attacked him quickly, biting his legs, dragging him more into the forest.
His pained and horrified screaming wakes the other two and they come toward his screaming. The two left just looked horrified as he screamed at them to run. For a moment they did not move, Celeste was the first to go into action. Grabbing Rosa and dragging her with her as they both began to run away. The beast snarled and looked as if was going to pounce on them but before that happened he lobbed a rock onto its side.
It turned towards him, its maw thick with drool as it looked at him in anger. It began to attack his hips. Not even biting down all the way just biting him repeatedly over and over again. Ruining him over and over again. Eventually it sits back and just looks at him for a moment before rushing off after his last two friends.
Adrenaline is still completely in his system, fueling rage fills him as he crawls desperately on the ground. His legs were already eaten by that thing. Not completely but enough that they were essentially useless. Fuck they may have to amputate if they get out of this. He has no choice but to retreat from whatever beast found him and his friends. He groans in pain as his body is dragged against the harsh forest floor. His wounds aggravated with each movement. Still he has to keep moving. To live to warn the others. Fuck, he already got Julie and Edward. He hopes that it didn’t get Celeste and Rosa. They ran away first so they have to be far away by now.
The more he crawled the more dizzy he got, and the less strength he had to pull himself forward. Even as he heard terrified screams in the distance could not force his body any further than it already had been. Darkness seemed ever so more encompassing until it was all he saw…
