The teddy bear
Disclaimer: I don’t own Friends or it’s characters. Enjoy this sudden one shot, I thought of tonight.
A small crafts shop in Manhattan had Chandler curious. He wasn’t afraid to enter the shop. Though his foot wouldn’t move to the front door. He would just suck it up and dashes towards the front door. He’ll open the door as a bell rings above his head. The many wanders that catches his eyes, but mostly plushes and art crafts. He browses the many aisles until he’s in the last one. Though he was going to leave the shop, something caught his eye.
A few cute plushes. Majority were teddy bears.
“I think I should get one, Chandler grabs a pack. The small package had the many materials in creating a type of plush. The pack in question was to create teddy bears. Many cloths hung beside the finished bear. “I’ll take a few more.”
Chandler would take a few staring at each of them. A sigh comes out of him as he would think who’d get a certain bear.
Chandler goes to the register paying for it.
He’d walk out the shop as the cold breeze hits his face. He’d cover his face keeping a tight grip of the bag going home. The cold air had a lot of people walking as fast as they could. Chandler would follow suit crossing the street as he was closing in to the building.
Once he’s home he’ll fall on the couch. Quickly removing his heavy coat and boots. A few sighs escapes him closing his eyes. “Joe, should be at work.” He’ll shake his head sitting himself up. The bag was still in his hand as he’ll set it on the couch.
“I guess I’ll look over on how to make it,” Chandler opens the bag taking out the bears. “I’ll get to work on one for Joey.” He says to himself.
The sky gets darker and he knew he could be staying awake. A cup of coffee had to be made. The phone suddenly rings, but he doesn’t bother picking it up.
“The answering machine will take it.”
After the last ring a message was left. It’s left by his best friend and roommate, Joey.
“I should had know he’d stay over at a girl’s place.” As it’s expected from him. Rubbing his forehead he would just begin adding a few touch ups. He would think what is suited for the bear. Especially it’s being made for him.
Throughout the night he’d frustrate himself. Adding this and that as he’s still working on the first bear. “Why does it feel I’ll need to make it perfect?” He knew he didn’t have to. “I’ll do my best and hopefully he’ll like it.”
The afternoon Joey calls out Chandler’s name. A sudden jump from him has Joey tripping on his foot.
“Dude, you didn’t need to scare me.”
“I should say the same to you, too.”
The males looked at each other sharing a hearty laugh. Joey sits on the couch beside him. “You’re okay man?”
Chandler blinked rubbing his tired eyes. “Man, I’m tired.”
“What did you do all night?” With a concern face Joey asks.
“It’s b—best you see it.”
Removing the pillows on his lap a finished plush was shown. A gasp comes out of him as he took it. “Is this for me?”
“Yes it is, dummy.” He’ll roll his eyes getting off the couch. “I’ll take a nap for a few hours.” He’ll go to his room.
The door closes from Chandler’s room. Joey chuckles staring at the plush in his hand. “How sweet of you, Chan.” He’d hug it close to his chest. “I should get him something, too.” Joey would think getting up from the couch.
“I’ll see what Mon can suggest.”
Joey leaves the apartment going across the hall.
