Work Text:

“Put that down.”

Charlie says as she chases a giggle five year old around the kitchen island. She wishes she could say it was a normal day for any parent.

But the thing was they weren't a parent, this wasn't their kid. And this kid wasn't really a kid.

Well technically they were actually a kid but they shouldn't be.

A giggling Nate ran around the kitchen, frosting from cupcake he snuck covering most of face as he snacked on it.

A frustrated sigh escapes her lips. She can't believe this is what she had to deal with right now.

Earlier a witch the legends were hunting casted a spell on them, turning all of them back into kids. Except for themselves and Z who were QBing back on the ship.

Finding a way to reverse the spell was going to be extra hard now having to deal with rambouncae children as well.

For the first time Charlie sort of kind of misses John's presence. Maybe.

It's not like John isn't here, just the adult one isn't. The little blonde boy had run off earlier after Charlie had raised her voice at him (which they still feel like shite for).

“Still can't catch him?” Zari asks, looking more amused than she has any right to as she enters. A black haired boy holding her hand, Ray. The boy had opted to help Zari search for the other legends like the little boy scout he was.

“No. And it's not funny.” Charlie replies as they slouch. Their stamina wasn't the same without their powers.

“Come on, it's a little funny. You never had to chase around any baby shapeshifter siblings as a kid.”

“Never was a kid. Besides, I was the youngest.” Almost all that was true except the shapeshifter part really. But Charlie did not have to time to get into their fucked up family tree right now.

“That explains a lot actually.”

Charlie just rolls their eyes trying to make the synapses in their brain to fire and help them come up with an idea to solve any of this. Though all the thinking does is make Charlie realize something as they speak.

“Have you seen little Sara and Mick in awhile?”

A large crash sounding in the distance answers their question.
