Summary
You dropped out of college just to chase what most people consider nothing more than fairy-tale nonsense. That decision led you to a tiny town in Oregon, barely even marked on a map. Your employer, Stanford Pines, is a genius scientist—though he's also weird and kind of stubborn. But at least he's a decent guy, and both he and his research satisfy your endless curiosity about everything you've ever questioned.
Everything was going fine—until Valentine's Day. The chocolates Stanford gave you might have contained something that shouldn't have been there. Or at least, that's what he said—right after you both ate them.
