Summary
John "Soap" MacTavish, a retired SAS operative, resides in a building complex in Chelsea, a property owned by the British military. The apartment was a gift from the military in recognition of his honorable discharge, and for the most part, he lives a peaceful life. His only struggle is insomnia, for which he’s currently undergoing therapy.
One night, unable to sleep, he steps out onto his balcony. The warm summer air greets him, and he relishes the gentle breeze against his skin. Taking a deep breath, he fills his lungs with fresh air, but there's a faint, lingering odor of cigarette smoke. Turning around, he spots a tall, brooding figure standing on the balcony next to his—silently smoking and staring back at him.
