“Because you’re scared of me,” Ryusei pronounced like it was a secret. His head was tilted to the side, his elbow propped on the couch, and his legs folded in ways that allowed him to be close to Rin.

“Don’t change the subject. Prove you’re not scared by playing the game with me,” Ryusei said, leaning in Rin’s personal space like a predator sniffing its prey.
