3rd person POV, following Teruko's thoughts. Sort of like how Harry Potter, if you know Harry Potter, is 3rd person POV but follows Harry
Teruko skipped happily along the street. It was her birthday, so she was off to surprise her brother. It was their first birthday where they didn't wake up in the same room. Or in some cases, the same bed, as Michizou still had nightmares about their parents. She snuck into the mafia base, and peered behind a wall. There she saw some people in the mafia. She recognized some of them.
Mori, the boss.
Kouyou, an executive.
Gin, the girl her brother had a crush on, and one of his partners in the Black Lizard, and her older brother, Ryuunosuke, known as Akutagawa.
Hirotsu, another of Michizou's partners in the Black Lizard.
Michizou, and he looked almost sad, and a bit fidgety.
The others, she didn't recognize, though Teruko had a sneaking suspicion that the blond girl was Akutagawa's partner, one of Michizou's superiors. She couldn't really remember though.
Teruko grinned deviously. She and Michizou had a running game where they'd randomly jump on the others back without warning on their birthday, and the first person to do so owed the other 5 dollars. And she'd only won when they were at their parents house. Now though, she'd finally get to win again. She just had to wait for the perfect moment -
"Who are you?"
Teruko turned around, and saw a mafia member glaring at her. Who was he again? Oh, yeah, Chuuya Nakahara, the strongest member of the Port Mafia.
Chuuya glared at her, his ability activated. "An intruder from the Hunting Dogs, huh? Spyin' on us?"
Teruko took a step back, then when Chuuya went to attack, she leapt backwards while turning around and leaping towards Michizou's back. She was still going to get those 5 dollars.
"Agh!" She screamed, as Chuuya leaped towards her full force. She landed on Michizou's back, knocking him to the ground, and Chuuya quickly moved to the side to avoid hurting him.
Michizou squirmed under Teruko, managing to twist his head slightly, enough to see who it was. He groaned, when he noticed. "Ōkura, get off, you're heavy!"
"Nope! Happy birthday, l'il bro!" Teruko said, grinning with delight.
"Okay, first of all, I'm technically older, second of all... Actually I got nothing."
"I'm sorry, Tachihara, who is this?" Mori asked. The entire PM was staring at him.
Michizou sighed. "This is my little sister, Ōkura Teruko. CAN YA GET OFF? Also the vice commander of the Hunting Dogs. SERIOUSLY, GET OFF WILL YA?!"
"Do you perhaps have an affiliation with them?"
"Nah, I quit ages ago. I pretend ta work fer 'em, but I just give 'em false info that means absolute crap, but sounds all official like. Been doin' it ever since they sent me here ta spy on ya guys. But I'd never wanted ta join up, so never gave them info worth crap. It drives th' higher ups crazy."
There was silence. Then Chuuya spoke up. "What's with the sudden accent?"
"This is how I usu'ly talk... I jus' hid ma accent from y'all 'cause th' c'mander'd hit me fer speakin' with it. I didn't wan' that ta happen again. But it's harder when I'm nervous. Or bein' crushed!"
Teruko sighed, then reluctantly got up. "Fine... But don't forget what you owe me."
Mori raised an eyebrow at Michizou as he stood up. "You owe the Hunting Dogs something?"
"No. An' here ya go sis." Michizou replied, handing $5 to Teruko. "Ya win... This time. I'll getcha next year tho, an' that's a promise!"
"I'd like to see ya try!"
They laughed and Teruko hugged her brother... And fell asleep on him.
Still 3rd person, but more Tachihara's POV now
Tachihara sighed. First his sister jumped on him and refused to get off, and now she was sleeping on him. He smiled and picked her up the way his older brother had always done when they were little. She'd always been wild, and full of a lot of energy. He was used to it by now.
Mori cleared his throat. "So... Why'd you owe her $5?"
"Cause she won this year. We have a runnin' game, where ev'ry year on aur birthday, th' firs' person ta jump on th' others back, catchin' em by serprise gets 5 dollars from th' other person."
"I see... It's your birthday?"
Tachihara nodded.
"I suppose you may have the day off then. You can go now."
"Thanks boss!" Tachihara said, brightening instantly.
After a while, Teruko finally woke up, and Tachihara put her down. "Boss gave me th' day off... What should we do?"
"Hang out, duh. Let's go to an amusement park, then get our traditional dinner! Oh, but let's get lunch first, I'm hungry."
