Muscle Cookie was not a straight man.
Okay, that's a bold statement, but it was true. Despite his totally rock hard abs and extremely attractive muscles that brought all the ladies to the yard, he was a little… fruitalicious.
He first realized this when taking a stroll through the forest, axe in hand. He was seeking some wood for him to build himself a new bed. His muscles were too big for the old one.
Muscle Cookie idly bounced the handle of the axe against his shoulder, stopping in his tracks as he heard the strumming of an instrument. The beautiful melody was accompanied by such pretty, lovely singing that made his head hurt.
Seeking the source of the sound, he kept walking, stealthily peeking between the trees. He didn't want to scare off whoever it was, but he did want to know.
He walked towards a clearing up ahead, spotting Clover Cookie sitting atop a tree stump and singing his twink heart out as he strummed his guitar.
It was a lovely song. A song he recognized, actually. Muscle Cookie flexed to hype himself up real quick. He then started to sing as well, his bass mixing with the nice alto notes of Clover's voice.
Instead of screaming or being terrified by the deep, bassy voice coming from the trees, Clover Cookie simply looked up from his guitar, flashing a polite smile as he continued to play. His delicate fingers moved across the strings, plucking them gently as he played note after note.
The song finished almost too quickly, and Muscle Cookie found himself holding back a frown as he took a seat next to the bard on the tree stump.
“... hey.” The bodybuilder managed, gulping nervously. He was NEVER nervous. What was going on???
“Hey, you.” Clover Cookie practically cooed at him, his eyes half-lidded as he fiddled with the tuning pegs on his instrument. “What brought you out here?”
“I was— uh. Wood.” He coughed, gesturing to the axe resting on his shoulder. Clover Cookie hummed in understanding, idly playing hot cross buns or something.
“Well, don't let my presence stop you. I shan't interrupt. It would be quite unbecoming of me.”
“You're not. Uh. Interrupting, that is… because I lied.” Muscle Cookie proceeded to lie about lying to him. “... I just wanted to see you.”
“Oh?”
That was totally false. He needed that wood, and he didn't even know Clover was in the middle of the woods directly in his path. He just thought it would be romantic.
“... Well. I'm not exactly opposed to such a thing. Scandalous, though, isn't it?” The idle plucking of strings came to a stop as he glanced up at Muscle Cookie, finally giving him the time of day. “Coming all the way out here just to seek me out. I'm flattered.”
“Although, I do wish you would've announced your presence clearer. Nearly gave me a heart attack.”
“Did I? You weren't too obvious about it. Hid it well, if you were scared.” Muscle Cookie hummed, a little guilty at the prospect of him startling the smaller guy. He was pretty terrifying at times, only because he was so ripped.
“Well. Once I saw it was you, I could hardly find it within me to be less than delighted.” Clover Cookie hummed, eyes flitting down to the man's lips as he licked his own tentatively.
Clover had great lips. Amazing lips, actually. Was that a normal thing to notice about your bro? Probably.
“... nice lips, man.” Muscle Cookie blurted out, face flushing slightly as he brought a hand to the side of the bard's face.
“... you too.” The other man remarked, leaning in closer as he set aside his guitar.
Well. He certainly didn't get the type of wood he wanted. Buuuut.
