   Summary

   Alice Hull is what some would call a 'mentalist', some say 'psychic', but she'll deny that saying "theres no such thing". She's right, there isn't, but there are mentalists like her. People who can read others like it's an open book and the pages are in bold writing. Alice has always had this 'gift' but she refined it, expanded upon it when she heard of a man just like her. Obviously more renowned than her, better than her. His name was Patrick Jane, a con man marketing himself as a 'psychic' to make money. But Alice saw through every lie and studied every trick he had. He was an inspiration to her honestly. Especially because she works as a consultant for a town in her home town in Maryland. After she moves to California she meets Patrick Jane in a new unit she works for.
