ANNABETH CHASE & PERCY JACKSON TO STAR IN THE ADAPTATION OF THE NOVEL "THE WINTER LADY" FOR HBO MAX

Great news! The bestseller that has captivated millions of readers around the world for decades, "The Winter Lady," will be adapted into a ten-episode series by HBO MAX. Reyna Arellano (Champagne Problems) will be in charge of the project.

On the eve of one of the most iconic anniversaries of the classic novel, the official HBO MAX account has announced that an adaptation of the novel "The Winter Lady" is already in production. The actors chosen to bring the tragic heroes to life are none other than Annabeth Chase (Revierie Litoreus, 2019) and Percy Jackson (Indigo, 2021). Both actors were confirmed in the same post under the description: "The lady and her renegade soldier."

But why these two actors for such a dramatic series? Annabeth Chase is of German-Greek descent, raised by a single mother who emigrated to the United States to support her dream of becoming an actress. She began acting at the age of fifteen in supporting roles until she officially debuted in the original film "Catrina," where she portrayed the blonde personification of death at just eighteen years old, catapulting her to worldwide stardom. She has currently been nominated for an Golden Globe. Will she earn an Emmy for this series? She will portray Annie Nielsen, the heroine of this story.

On the other side, we have Perseus Jackson, better known as Percy Jackson, of American origin, specifically from New York, who will portray the soldier Percy Johnson. He began acting as a child in supporting roles that captivated audiences until he debuted as the villain in the film. With "The Psychiatrist," he was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, establishing him as one of Hollywood's new promising talents. He is now a recognized actor in the action and drama genres, and with his undeniable sex appeal, he has become one of the Academy's renowned actors.

Both actors will bring to life the novel that inspired "Titanic" and other romantic pop culture films; it follows the wartime tragedy of World War II, where Sergeant Percy Johnson (Jackson) is captured along with his unit in a forest between France and Germany, where a German nurse, Annie Nielsen (Chase), cares for the enemy soldier, leading to a romantic and tragic love that would make Jane Austen sigh with love.

The novel was an immediate bestseller in the 1950s and has been referenced in popular franchises and series, making it an icon of pop culture. Throughout its history, it has sold 450 million copies and has been translated into more than 50 different languages.

There are still no exact news on when filming will begin, although it is speculated that it will be within a couple of months, according to various sources and recent publications by the artists in Los Angeles, United States. For now, there is no release date for the series, but don’t worry because we will keep you well informed as more details are revealed.
