Crowley's POV, on why the Arrangement actually exists.
A poem written for Whickber Street Writers Five Words Friday. Once again I chose to incorporate the GOetry Monday Challenge to give me a bit more of an idea where to head with this. And because just writing a poem isn't hard enough. No, I had to write a poem with a certain number of syllables per line and a specific rhyming pattern because life just isn't hard enough on its own or something. 😂 So this is a Klon written to the prompt 'the Arrangement' and incorporating all five of the words of the Five Words Friday challenge. The words were: susurration, bright, drop, haze, sultry.
Arrangement, intent bright, bent, mine
Sultry wine, we dine, thoughts in haze
Keep you near, blood burns, yearns, ablaze
Eyes, hot rays, drop praise, untarnish
My wish, inition. Spent time well
Here I dwell, bespelled by you
Susurration, your voice held true
Only knew a new world for us
