Hikaru was sleeping in his feral Eevee form on his bed, his star on his collar shining a bit and his cute little snores were blending in with the peaceful and comforting ambiance. How did he end up with this cute appearance? A month ago, he mysteriously went missing one day, which made the others, especially Kakeru and Satoru, worried that something bad happened to him or was going to happen. They eventually found him in a bush in a forest and found him like this, assuming it was a lost baby fox, they temporarily took it in care while looking for Hikaru until they found out that the ‘fox’ is Hikaru because of Satoru.
Still napping on the bed, the door started to slightly open, the creaks making one of his ears twitch, he slowly opened his eyes and raised his head.
“Vee… Voi…?”
Hikaru spoke up, slowly blinking and rubbing his eye with his back of the paw, sluggishly beginning to change into a loafing position.
That was when a familiar blue haired boy walked in, it was Satoru!
Satoru noticed the little Eevee and giggled.
“Hehe… Did I interrupt your nap, star?”
He said, getting closer to Hikaru's bed where the Eevee was, eventually, getting on the bed and sitting on it.
Hikaru then got off of his position, stretching like a cat then turned to face Satoru.
He let out a tired little “Vee…” as Satoru started to pet him, caressing his fluffy little cheeks and his fluffy fur collar.
Then, the little Eevee felt like he was being lifted up, his eyes now wide awake as he was put in a lying position.
Lying on his back and showing off his fluffy belly, however, the thing that Satoru was interested in was the red fluffy creature's little pink toe-beans.
They looked soft, clean and shiny, how could you not want to touch them? Satoru's fingers moved to Hikaru's back paws reaching for his toe-beans, the look on the Eevee’s face was shy, his ears lowering as he looked up at the boy’s face.
Hikaru always knew that Satoru was a bit… touchy when it came to his new cute form, petting him, touching his cheeks, his tail, his neck collar and even his belly but his toe-beans? He was never touched there.
He didn't really mind it because he loved him and the attention, although it can get way too much for him.
Hikaru's body shivered as soon as Satoru's fingers were in between one of his toe-beans and he squished it, his left hand even joined in by grabbing the other paw and started to use his thumbs to circle around the toe-beans.
“Wow… You’ve got some soft paws there! It's like they were made for you!”
Satoru spoke up cheerfully, giggling as he continued rubbing the pink little beans.
Meanwhile, Hikaru wanted to just hide away from Satoru but he couldn't.
The boy even kissed Hikaru's forehead, which made the little Eevee’s embarrassment slightly worse than it already was.
He let out a little squeaky “Voiii…”, and to his luck, Satoru decided to stop rubbing his toe-beans and he used his hand to rub his belly instead.
As always, his belly was fluffy and it was also soft almost like his toe-beans were, Hikaru's embarrassment was slowly wearing off as he started to smile and let out some relaxed ‘Vee’ sounds.
Satoru then started caressing Hikaru's other places like his sides, his chin and his paws, as the Eevee calmed down, Satoru asked Hikaru something.
“Hey… Can you turn into a human? In front of me…?”
That sentence made Hikaru freeze, then he shook his head many times.
“Eevee! Vee! Vee…!”
He squeaked out, as he remembered he turned back into his normal self, or at least close to his normal self, as his ears, tail, nose, fur collar and paws were still here, but there was another side effect…
His clothes didn't shrink with him, resulting in him being completely naked when turned back into a human, thankfully, he found some backups when he was in a room alone because he didn't know where his usual clothes were.
Hikaru got off his position and hopped off the bed, with Satoru following him, he went to where his closet was, and he tried to open it with his paw.
Satoru was confused about what Hikaru was trying to say on why he couldn't do that, Hikaru turned his head to him almost as if he wanted help with opening the closet.
He eventually opened the closet and, well, obviously saw clothes.
Satoru looked down at the Eevee, even more confused than ever.
“Huh…? I don't… get it…? Is this about clothes?”
Satoru questioned him, Hikaru quickly nodded.
He stood on his hind legs, attempting to reach to one of his shirts, but, of course, he was way too short.
“You know… If you wanted clothes then you could have just told me!”
Satoru said with a slight tease in his voice, which made Hikaru pout as Satoru chuckled as his reaction.
“You can have my uniform for a while!”
Satoru added as he started to take off his prized possession, his baseball uniform jacket, he then carried Hikaru back to his bed and attempted to put on his uniform on the Eevee, it obviously looked too big on him.
Satoru thought that maybe buttoning it up would make it somewhat better, after doing that, it looked quite silly seeing Hikaru as an Eevee lying down and having his ‘best friend's’ uniform.
Hikaru also wanted some pants too because not even Satoru's uniform is enough to cover him up, he spoke up trying to say to Satoru that he wanted pants hoping he would understand him now and unsurprisingly, Satoru didn't understand him again.
This was starting to slightly irritate Hikaru that he got off the bed again and walked up to the closet again. He then turned his head to Satoru and let out a cute angry “Vee…!”
“Jeez! Might as well build a fort with these shirts since you're clearly obsessed with them!”
Satoru said jokingly, the Eevee whined and turned to face his body, he got closer to him as he started to stand with his hind legs, with his little paws on the boy’s shorts.
As Satoru's mind is trying to figure out what Hikaru was trying to say, he decided to just guess what the Eevee was saying.
“Pants…? Is this about pants this time?”
He asked, Hikaru then nodded which made Satoru look for those pants.
Once he found them, he put Hikaru back into his spot, this time wearing the baseball uniform and some shorts Satoru found.
“So… Now you’ll do it?”
Hikaru shook his head again upon being asked.
He then tried his best to point his paw at the door to make Satoru leave for a while because even if he's fully clothed, even if it's not much, he just doesn't like doing it in front of people, especially people like Satoru.
“Want me to leave?”
“Vee vee…”
“Oh, well… If it's for a while then let me know if you're ready! I’ll be outside your room!”
Satoru smiled as he went out of Hikaru's room and closed the door behind him, Hikaru looked at himself and took a deep breath, preparing himself to change his form.
Few moments later, after his body shifted to his human form, Hikaru knocked on the door to let Satoru know that he's ready!
Satoru opened the door, seeing his beloved ‘best friend’ with those cute features that remained from his Eevee form but most important of all for him, he was wearing the uniform and that was what was so cute about him.
Hikaru's ears lowered, his eyes looking away from Satoru with a hint of a blush.
“Satoru… You… You know that I can't just change right in front of people… It's embarrassing…”
“Well… I thought that I’d be the exception!”
Satoru playfully said as he reached out to boop Hikaru's nose, which made him even more of a blushing mess than he already was.
“ Sigh… You're such a dummy…”
Hikaru breathed out, although despite having problems with communicating with Satoru in his Eevee form, he smiled because, well… Satoru is his dummy! And that's what he likes about him.
Hikaru then got closer to Satoru, his tail wagging slowly.
“Uhm… Satoru…?”
Satoru responded with a simple “Hm?” before Hikaru started to nuzzle his neck, resulting in Satoru blushing, although not as much as Hikaru did.
Satoru chuckled as he wrapped his arm around the Eevee hybrid’s waist and ruffled his hair with his other hand.
“Now, what's the reason for that !?”
“I… I don't know… I… Felt like I had to…”
“Don’t worry! Because I now know exactly what you want, star!”
Hikaru slowly stopped nuzzling and smiled at Satoru's words, because Satoru knew that Hikaru has these nuzzling problems sometimes, a nice and comforting cuddle can solve that problem!
“C’mon! Let's go!”
Satoru told Hikaru in a happy tone as he grabbed his arm and took him to his bed, with Satoru on the right side and Hikaru on the left side.
Even in his human form, Hikaru was still so fluffy even without much fur, perhaps it's his fur collar? Or maybe it's the tail wrapping around his and Satoru's bodies?
It doesn't really matter what it is, what matters is that it feels good and, to Satoru at least, it feels like cuddling a living breathing cloud.
He was into it so much that his body decided it was a good time to doze off and take a nap.
Hikaru noticed that because his ears twitched at the sound of Satoru's snores, he didn't really mind it.
He likes the sound and he felt like he was somehow protected, Hikaru can't really explain why but he did and it made him also doze off and go to sleep.
Few hours later, when the boys were still sleeping, Hikaru's ears picked up someone walking in then, he felt a gentle touch on his back and a boop on his nose which made him wake up and see who's interrupting his sleep.
Opening his eyes, he could see that it was Kakeru!
“Mmm… Ke… Keru…?”
Hikaru muttered in a tired voice, one of his ears twitching slightly.
“Hikaru, I was looking for you because-”
Kakeru paused when he saw Satoru lying next to Hikaru, he thought that it would be the perfect idea to tease Hikaru just a bit about it.
“What’s your boyfriend doing here?”
Hikaru blushed as he started to cover his face with his paws, his ears lowering.
“He… He’s not my boyfriend…!”
“Yeah, sure… That’s what I said when I was friends with Hiroki and look at us now!”
Hikaru pouted as Kakeru chuckled, he always denied that Satoru and him are boyfriends since he thinks they’re doing ‘normal friend activities’ and sometimes Satoru copies what Kakeru and Hiroki do, mostly small kisses.
“So… What were you looking for me for…?”
“Oh, I was gonna ask if I can show you to Haruka later! She’s never seen you like this before.”
“Sure… We won’t be there for long, right…?”
“We won’t, now, I’ll leave you two lovebirds alone, okay?”
Hikaru whimpered from embarrassment as he turned away from his cousin, his ears still lowered and he shut his eyes, waiting until Kakeru left.
After he heard footsteps and a door closing, he opened his eyes now looking at Satoru.
He sat up and wondered at the possibility of them becoming boyfriends, just like how his cousin did with his boyfriend, is it really just a friend thing to just give kisses? Will it work out just like Kakeru and Hiroki’s relationship did? Is he just overthinking it? Hikaru shook his head to snap out of his thoughts which were becoming worrisome for him.
He looked at Satoru again and then he gave him a small kiss on his cheek as he smiled softly.
Maybe it will work out after all! He just needs to prepare himself and take his time to actually let Satoru know how he feels...
