Backstory
Moons ago, five clans lived on the lake. ThunderClan, ShadowClan, WindClan, RiverClan and SkyClan! However, peace was non-existent during these times. StarClan had abandoned the clans. Cats fought over borders, battles occurred often, and the clans were falling apart. However, the ShadowClan leader saw an advantage to this- and on the night of the gathering, ShadowClan attacked! ThunderClan joined their side of the battle, not wishing to die to the claws of ShadowClan.
The war lasted many days. Cats of all clans died, and SkyClan was completely wiped out- its only survivors fleeing the clans forever. Standing tall, ShadowClan took over the other clans, merging them together into one.
However, StarClan did not return.
The clan, now named “CrescentClan” was divided into four segments- each by past clan. These segments, or “districts”, live in smaller camps surrounding the one large CrescentClan camp
Present time
DarkStar, the son of the leader who took over, now rules ShadowClan- and follows the traditions (which will be explained below!) Many cats support this tradition, seeing it as a way to bring back StarClan. However, a spark of rebellion has started… and this spark may turn into a flame

Crescent Claws
Every moon, four cats, one from each district, are chosen to be murdered, as a sacrifice to StarClan . These cats are chosen prior, and are to be held prisoner until the events of The Sacrifice
The Sacrifice
Following the day after the full moon, all of CrescentClan is gathered to watch the public execution of the four chosen cats. Each cat is assigned a fighter- one from their own clan. They are forced to fight the fighter to the death. If the chosen one defeats the fighter, they are ranked up to the highest rank, ShadowCat. However, it is rare to achieve this, as the fighters are usually the strongest warriors
Rankings
ShadowCats
Of course, since ShadowClan was the clan to take over, their clan is the highest ranked. If you are a part of a ShadowClan, you have the rank “ShadowCat”. ShadowCats earn more privileges than the other clans, and are to be treated with respect. Most ShadowCats are loyal to the tradition and the code
ThunderCats
Since ThunderClan aided ShadowClan in the attack, they earned the ranking below ShadowClan, earning the name “ThunderCats”. They are often seen with ShadowCats and are also given privilege, although they are not forced to earn respect, and are not allowed to commend orders. Although some cats of ThunderCats are loyal to the tradition, there are more rebels in ThunderCats than ShadowCats…
RiverCats
RiverClan earned the second lowest ranking, named “RiverCats”. They don’t “earn” respect and are the chosen clan to patrol and hunt the most. RiverCats by far have the most rebellion, and are trying to make a stand, even if secretly… however, some RiverCats hold a fierce loyalty. Is it to get StarClan back…or is it to become a higher rank?
WindCats
The lowest rank of the low. They are meant to help RiverCats patrol, aswell as do chores and duties for ShadowCats. However, lots of cats are loyal to the tradition, as WindClan was always the closest clan to StarClan, and they desperately want them back…
