The Whirling Hero: Pirouette

Description
- Pirouette wears a specially designed Roller Suit, with retractable wheels at various points across her body to allow for comfortable movement in various positions. The suit is a pale pink, and has paneling sculpted to evoke a ballerina’s tutu without actually getting in the way.
Quirk: Torque
- Allows Pirouette to accelerate or decelerate the rotational speed of objects within 50 feet of her. This includes things like the wheels of her suit, gears in a machine, and her own rotation while spinning.
- The mass distribution of the rotating object, its radius, and the rate of change imparted all impact the effort required for her to use her Quirk. Overuse can result in dizziness.
Pirouette is a 2173 UA graduate who’s been steadily working her way up in the rankings over the years, especially since she left the Iidaten agency and started her own 3 years ago. Her debut was perhaps one of the most impactful in recent years, at least in my oppinion. She stopped an armed villain from firing into a crowd by preventing a bullet from rotating in the gun’s riffling, which both ruined the gun and ripped it out of the villain’s hand. She then apprehended him by spinning into an accelerated kick that knocked the gunman almost 30 ft away and unconscious. Disappointingly few people seem to understand what, exactly, happened to the gun.
In the time since, she’s been an extremely consistent hero with a remarkable portfolio of resolved cases. The versatility of her Quirk gives her both impressive mobility and striking power, alongside a way to incapacitate targets by making them over-turn with every movement, or outright spinning them until they can’t stand. While she still struggles against particularly large and stable opponents, she has proved aware of her limitations and focused on evacuation while supporting other heroes against such villains.
Fun Fact! Pirouette’s “Real Life Beyblade Tournament” charity drive was simultaneously one of the most popular and the most destructive charity events in the past several years. Evidently, when scaled up to a 1 ft diameter, constructed from military grade metals, and accelerated to several hundred miles per hour, they can absolutely do about as much damage to a concrete arena as the show would have you believe. It’s a good thing Cementos was there to help!
