Frank and Karen leave the city behind, trading bloodstained streets for the quiet hum of upstate life. There are no gunshots in the distance, no shadows waiting around the corner — just the hush of the woods, the steady rhythm of a life they never thought they’d have. It isn’t easy, not at first. Ghosts don’t vanish overnight, and neither of them are built for peace. But in the quiet — between morning coffee, fixing up their little house, and hands reaching for each other in the dark—they find it anyway. A life of their own. A love that lingers. A peace they never thought they deserved, but hold onto just the same.
