“Eather?”
“…”
“Eather?”
“…Oh…Hey Venti.” Eather finally registered the Archn seated next to him beside the base of the wind tree.
“Hello to you as well. What brings you out here at this hour. It’s rather late.” Venti inquired as he settled in, as if expecting a long conversation.
“Nothing important. Am I ih the way?” Eather asked, getting ready to stand and leave.
“No, no. I usually come here at night. It was just surprising to see another here before me.” Venti explained with a carefree smile.
“Oh. Alright then.” Eather stated as he settled back down.
Venti noticed Paimon wasn’t with him.
It was a rare sight.
The two of them were practically conjoined twins.
Ah.
Twins.
That must be Eather was out here.
“You’re thinking about that sister of yours?” Venti questioned.
“How’d you know?” Eather asked, confirming the Archons suspicions.
“Call it a hunch. Do tell, what comfort does staring at the stars bring you?” Venti pried.
“…Not sure.”
“Ah.” Venti responded.
He pulled out his lyre and began playing a simple tune.
They remained in a comfortable silence for some time until Eather broke it.
“…I think the stars remind me of something.”
“Of the different worlds you’ve visited?”
“Maybe.”
Silence befell them, and Eather slumped against Venti.
“I don’t know if I’ll ever figure it figure it out.” Eather whispered.
“I believe the answer is right in front of you.” Venti states casually.
“What makes you say that?” Eather asked.
“A hunch.”
“As is to be expected.”
“Haha. I suppose so”, Venti chuckled.
“You’re certainly an odd one. I see where Paimons dislike comes from.” Eather mumbled as he slowly dozed off.
“Well now, that simply won’t do.” Venti teased.
The Archon fell silent as he let the traveler sleep.
Venti whispered lightly.
“You’ll figure it out. Just keep searching the stars.”
