I don't want to sleep; I want to dream

Summary:

Some poems and prose that I’ve written throughout the past two years.

Notes:

Many of the poems and prose relates to a work I wanted to make but never continued. This is mainly due to me not giving time to write them sadly.
I hope you may enjoy some of these.

Work Text:

Imagine the result...

Forego the process...

Reach the end...

Light Pollution

Looking down the barrel

Dark as the polluted night

But instead is as clear as day

There are no stars to be seen in this sky

Crystal

So confused with many visions,

Realized that I was wearing so many lenses,

Now, once removed, it is clear

I have to wear one lens at a time

Sailboat gazing the stars

Quietly, the raft sways,

Slowly carried by the waves;

Its sailor, entranced by a sight,

For a star shines distant in the everlasting night.

A star among the countless,

Insignificant in the sea of lights.

And yet, it mystifies this one,

For they travel to seek it.

A raft so hastily built,

For sail on the endless stratospheric ocean,

This is their journey towards the stars.

They are called "Stargazer".

Reply

Theft, if you truly see it that way.

But truth or tale, it doesn't matter,

For this glass is with you now.

You cannot mend what's already broken

Instead, take it and build a castle of shards.

Sharp and jagged, imperfect without doubt.

But yours, it will.

Trigonometric Gazing

The view is triangular,

Two points, ahead and above.

Do not gaze the hypothenuse,

It's too far, you can't reach it.

One of the legs,

It will lead to the stars.

Run toward the ends of the world,

By then, you'll be your hero.

Stargazer, that is the end,

Look up, one of the legs.

Tomorrow will not be the same,

For you, a day never passes.

Caged in Control

Let me siiing a song,

Oh please let me sing,

A~long to the sound

Of my heart's crying,

Do you hear the beating,

Oh careless pleading,

I want to dance and sing,

But I am caged in song.

Locked in display,

So proud of being,

Oh, but what is being

Trapped to this feeling?

Now, without crime,

The world is stolen,

Became dependent,

This time is frozen.

Then, with a rhyme,

Thaw it remain,

It is cold but keep it warm

Tonight

You telll me...

To spread my wings and fly...

To sing my heart...

But rules stay rule so-

In~nocent,

A feeling so divine,

To aid the wings to fly...

And yet, with this,

It BECAME USELESS

TO NIGHT, I FLY

IN DREAMS

SOARING TO THE SKY

IT ONCE SO~ BEAU~TI~FUL~

A PROMISE THIS TONIGHT

a promise this tonight...

and night... and night...

How long has this repeated?

and night... and night...

A constant beat of flutter,

and night... end night....

These wings turned into clutter,

end night... end night...

Instead used to build her,

end night... enlight...

Of cage, full of glitter

enlight... enlight...

So master~ful in

O T H E R

LOCKED IN DISPLAY,

SO PROUD OF WINGS RECOVERED

BEING SO INCAPABLE OF

FLYING

AND YET ITS FALSE

HOW DENSE CAN ONE BE

TO THE FRAGILITY OF WINGS

A SPLINT SO HEAVYYY

NOW, COMPLAIN

FOR THE HEALING THAT DID NOT OCCUR

WHO'S FAULT? THE PATIENT?

OR THE SAVIOR?

THIS LIGHT IS BURNING OUT

THE COLD BEGINS TO SPREAD

THE FRAGILE BONES IN MY NOTES

Cannot. keep. it. w a r m.

It... became a chore,

To fly with a splint,

Far much worse than stilts

Close my eyes, I cannot.

For the flapping must not stop,

To satisify, to fear one.

Cannot think, must not do,

For I...

Want to leave... this wing...

Behind... to where they belong...

To fly higher than with,

A song for this trip.

Destiny of a Hero

I need a hero.

I've gone past a point of no return.

I am waiting for my punishment.

Yet, I still cling on to that star.

I would gladly atone for my sins.

I know of justice, not of blood.

I only have one contradictory goal.

I want to reach it.

That is why I need a hero.

I am alone in this path.

Towards an end that I know not of.

For this is the reason I hold life.

However, no hero would save me.

No one here / a hero / I lost.

My choices / comrades / here.

Betrayal / alone / false wish.

I've betrayed others to reach this.

Above all, I've betrayed myself.

Losing my way after losing the map,

That I traded for a worn raft.

I have nothing of worth.

Deserving to crawl on this earth.

A thought prevails through,

“You're here now, what's stopping you?”

No matter / Must / Let.

What / Stand / Them.

Happens / Tall / Be.

Here / Don't / Waste.

There's nothing else here.

Nothing but me.

That is why I must become my own hero.

A hero that would even save a villain.

Rose Garden Melody

‘Verse finè; Listen closely,

‘Form your deductions.

‘To be frank, I am no hero.

‘I am a sinner.

‘My mistake will never be erased,

‘My past will ever disappear.

‘Revealing my truth will only endanger.

‘Yet I cannot hide it any longer.

‘For I will gladly use it when necessary.

‘I know that you've been waiting for me to call you by name.

‘Welcome everyone, to my garden of sin.’

Vines.

Deep and rich violet.

The guests inside find beauty,

And melancholy in it.

It is as though the Garden of Eden

Resurrected.

Whose fruits have withered from the

Original Sin of its master.

Can this Garden ever be forgiven?

Only God knows.

And right now, - - - is the god of this garden.

Only their actions can define the fate of its guests.

‘I am the master.

‘You are my subjects.

‘I hope you like roses.’

As we approach the limit.

The sound of ringing echoes in the forest.

Neither was it bell nor chime.

It was blades clashing; two people fighting.

As they hold their blades, they wish to fight hand-to-hand.

For they cannot activate their abilities without touching the other.

Paradoxical, it may seem, but they shan't cross another,

For their “powers” can instantly end the fight.

As their blades continue to clash into the dead of night…

Their blades are as nameless as those who weild them.

There's nothing special about these,

Nor their technique isn't particularly outstanding.

Simply, they are fighting to survive.

For what purpose are they fighting for?

This is pointless, there is no gain.

Security? Money? Justice? Revenge?

All of them has been abandoned long ago.

But this is important to the two...

They cannot survive as long the other lives,

One wishes to save others and one wishes

to save themself.

However neither is righteous; both are selfish.

This is a battle between the one who wishes upon a star,

And another who gazes at it, desiring to reach it.

Both are so similar yet so different.

This difference will define the course of the worthless fight.

“You will forever chase a distant star.

Running for miles will not lead you,

You're approaching the limit,

You will never reach it!”

"But it is possible to reach a star,

It is physical, like this world that lives off of stardust.

It is distant, yet attainable to those willing to reach it.

Unlike you who chases something that isn't even real!"

They had reached their limit,

One drops their weapon,

And rushes towards their opponent.

The battle is almost decided.

Their lack of skill bears blight.

For the unarmed touches the armed,

To end it right there.

It seems to be game over, for him, stargazer.

Climbing Up the Walls

I wanted to go buy a burger.

I went to the store, rode a jeep, and walked the street.

On the register, on the menu, on the door,

There were pictures of me.

”Wanted,” it says.

I feared for my life.

I didn’t leave yet though.

They have yet to notice me.

They have yet to hear my beating hearr.

Even the guard near the register didn’t register me.

I should have been safe.

And yet, I felt afraid.

I sat down to wait my order.

But the fear never subsided.

It grew more as so many people passed by.

I was by the window.

People watching.

Any one of them.

They could start.

”Hey, is that…” they could say.

I left to go back home.

I wanted a fish sandwich, but I can come back.

I wanted to go to the beach, enjoy the night stars and city lights from a far.

But I had to go home.

So that I can feel… Safe?

On the Jeep ride back home.

I felt more fearful.

Especially when a bunch of army men rode the jeep.

They needed to go to base.

Good thing base was before my home.

But I wanted to die.

They could catch me any moment.

Detain me.

Lock me up.

And make me lose all purpose.

As it made me feel like I have failed everyone.

That I got caught.

Caught doing what exactly?

I don’t know.

Actually, I feel like I know.

Yeah, I know that I must have done something wrong.

Hence, I feel guilty.

But I don’t want to be charged.

I don’t want to be caught even when I’m not doing anything.

I reach back home.

My guardian is there.

She asks me “How were you today?”

I said “I’m fine thank you.”

She never knew but the tension feels like it could snap.

I could never tell her this.

Or else, she may persecute me too.

I have no suspicion that she wouldn’t.

And I am alone.

After years of waiting.

Nothing changed.

I might be looking in the wrong place.

I have lost without losing.
