Summary
V has started to gain notoriety in Night City when a tricky job sends her right into the path of a NC Detective. River Ward is trying to juggle being a cop who's not corrupt and helping out his family. Neither is looking for a relationship, but both are surprised and intrigued by the other.
The two work together by necessity, slowly finding a common ground. Sexual tension and budding friendship flavour the story. All of this lives under the heavy reality that Johnny Silverhand's engram has taken up residency in V's mind, bringing him along for the ride. Dueling POVs.
