Summary
The Court of Stars catches wind of a plot... Maglubiyet, tyrant who destroyed the Goblin pantheon of Gods, and weakened the Lady of Air and Darkness herself, is no more. In his place, a new demon king is rising within the Fae Wilds, intent on attacking and destroying Falinel.
The Third Ring, secret service of the High Elves, moves to prevent this by capturing servants of this new threat. As far as the High Elves are concerned, goblins are all just monsters who have been given too much grace by Solace. They are not gentle in their efforts to extract whatever information they can. One goblin in particular is of the most interest; his Fae magic and fighting skills are a key indicator that he must be a high ranking servant of this demon king.
Riz already knows that Falinel is chasing a bad lead, but he can't just reveal that the threat they're perceiving is a misunderstanding, that he IS the new Goblin King. And despite his best efforts, escaping the clutches of the Third Ring proves impossible.
