It was nice to be invited to the wedding, all be it half an hour before it starts. But it is the thought that counts.
Vincent leans back on the desk as he tries to button up the waistcoat, still amazed that he survived being shot in the lung. So close to dying by a few inches. Not simply walking away from it, he was in a coma for a mouth and had a small blood clot that caused some minor nerve damage. After a year of physical therapy, he was all okay with returning to intern part-time on lighter duty but needed a cane to help walk (bad balance).
Still, he was supported by lots of loved ones, his family came to visit him as he was not yet allowed to get on a plane. Plus dating Wendell, thinking that they would break up while recovering but no Wendell stayed and Vincent fell deeper in love.
Wendell just chuckles as he helps button the waistcoat, they are on a time limit. He holds out his arm for Vincent to loop in as he grap his cane to head down to the garden.
“You look dapper Vince” Wendell says as they make their way down.
“Did you know that dapper was originally used to describe someone strong” Vincent lets out his fact knowledge.
Wendell just smiles and “the word suits you, how’s my bowtie?” Wendell fiddles with his bowtie.
Vincent smiles and gives Wendell a quick kiss on the lips before replying with “Very cool”.
