They sort of said it without thinking about it, half joking, half very much not joking. Tai moaned loudly and her chin fell on their shoulder. She paused then, realizing what they had said and how it had made her feel and how she reacted to it, and she was slightly overwhelmed by all of that so she kept her head on Van’s shoulder. They could sense her tension and pulled back to look at her, moving a hand to cup her face while the other grabbed her shoulder.
