Chapter Text
Virgil sat in class, waiting for the last bell to ring for the day. His anxiety was spiked because he was currently in the one class of the day he didn't have with De. De was his only friend at this school, and honestly, the only reason he didn't get beat up more in school regularly. It was unfortunate that he was in maths instead because everyone who had it out for him was in this class . His fingers were buzzing with anxiety, causing him to pull out his phone and open up the chat.
Anxiety: Anyone up?
Virgil knew the odds were pretty low that anyone was actually awake right now. After all, they were busy and important people, why would they have time for him? But hey, can't blame a gay for trying.
Princey: Anx? What happened?
Dukey: Time to kill someone?
Daddio: Everything okay, kiddo?
Teach: What is it you need assistance with?
Oh right. That was today. All of them were up .
Anxiety: Nothing much, just some kids at school. I'm in the class with everyone that hates me so I really just want to disappear rn. Don't worry about it. Sorry to bother. I know you are all busy today.
Princey: Oh, c'mon Anx, I know you. Tell me what happened!
Dukey : Give us those juicy deets !
A shiver went down Virgil's spine at that. The twins were always total opposites. Roman was encouraging and in love with gossip but also caring and understanding. He was open to talking and reaching out a princely hand. Remus, on the other hand, was the cruder of the two. He was funny and gossipy, but also gross and stubborn. Despite wanting a little advice, Virgil didn't really want to unload his unnecessary baggage on his online friends. It wasn't their job to make him feel better.
Anxiety: Fine, I'll tell you all. BUT... only if Dukey says please.
It was a hefty price, he knew. Because Dukey never says please. Has never said please in the 5 years they've known each other. Again, he's stubborn. So, the best way to de-rail the conversation was to issue an outrageous demand.
Dukey: Pleeeeeeease?
.....Well damn. That was unexpected. Remus had never said please before, but Virgil guesses he's also never really asked him to. Virgil sighed and glanced around, hyper-aware of the occasional glares thrown his way while the teacher droned on ignorantly. Gritting his teeth, he looked back down at his phone. Well, he had to commit at this point.
Anxiety: Ok... so you know how I only have one friend in person, right?
