Paisley watched as Rex controlled the pavers, sighing happily. “The pavement is going down smooth, Rex.” “It’ll be finished soon Paisley!” He cheered, smiling down at his boss. “Good.” She turned around, leaving to meet with the other villains inside the mansion. Rex kept his very cheerful expression on his face, very proud of his work.
He thought about his wife, hoping that she would also feel the same way about the pavement. Not too long after, she walked out the manor, letting out a small noise in disappointment. “I can’t with Zachary..ugh..”
“Wha?..What’s wrong?” Rex looked down at Paisley, concerned for her as well as confused.
“Well he decided to not even let me help. I’ve got to be on the lookout or..something.” Her voice got angrier by the second. Pinching her forehead, she muttered to herself before taking a deep breath.
“You know what? It’s—it’s fine.” Rex reassured her, smiling softly. “I can stay out here with you! I don’t think I’m gonna be doing anything anyways considering I need to work on all this.”
He then leaned down kissing her cheek, making a small smile form onto her face. “Alright then Rex. But..we can’t be on the lookout if we aren’t hiding. Plus the space is too open..” They both pondered about where they couldn't be seen, Rex looked around, eyeing down the area. He saw a bush that was small in size, but could fit the both of them if they sat down..
“Over there!” He pointed to it, catching Paisley’s attention. “Eugh..” She looked at the shrub in disgust, taking a small step back. “Come on Paisley! It’ll just be for a little bit! There's pavement near it!~” “..Okay fine.” They both walked to the bush, planting themselves inside the tiny space.
Paisley slightly, her shoulder gently rubbing against the construction worker’s arm. “This comfy enough for you Rex?” He looked down at her, giggling a bit. “I mean..sure. Now that I'm here with you!~” “Oh my god–that's so cheesy Rex..” She laughed a little as he put a joke smirk on his face.
She glanced up at him. “..You know..no one’s gonna bother us..and I don’t see anyone around anyways.” “Y–..yeah?” Paisley shuffled a bit closer to Rex, her hand on his chest. She pushed him back slightly.
“Can you kiss me?” “..Yep!” His cheeks turned a bit red. He pulled her in for a kiss, pecking her lips before pulling away. Paisley instantly tightened her grip on him, bringing him closer to her. “I mean kiss me Rex.”
“Oh! I-I-..” He struggled to get his words out, blushing like crazy. Paisley put her hand on his cheek, smiling up at him. She then pressed her lips against his, grinning against them. Although Rex was a bit shocked, he wasn’t opposed to it..
He kissed her back, closing his eyes shut. Eventually, they pulled away from each other. “W-wowie..that was nice..” Rex nervously giggled out, his hands wrapping around Paisley’s waist.
She brought her arms around his neck, whispering. “Want another one?” Rex ecstatically nodded, kissing her lips once more. Paisley moved her body a bit closer, now seated on his lap.
Rex put his fingers through his wife's hair, smiling against her lips. Paisley then stopped for a moment, her breathing a little fast. “I-is something the matter Pais-” “Shh..I hear footsteps.-” She paused, gripping his shirt roughly. “I forgot we were supposed to be watching out for the group of children!” “Hey–” ‘Hold on–..”
Paisley put her finger up to Rex’s lips, shushing him. She grabbed her walkie talkie from the ground, fixing up her hair. Rex still had a wide smile on his face, giggling a bit. “Get–get up Rex..” Paisley stuttered out, nudging him. They both stood up when hearing the group of kids heading inside the mansion.
“First group of kids heading your way Zach.” Paisley said, informing her cousin about the mass. “Oh goodie!” He exclaimed with excitement, hanging up. She let out a shaky breath, looking up and realizing that Rex had been staring at her. A soft smile planted on his face, chuckling a bit. Paisley sighed, grabbing his hand and rubbing it with her thumb.
“We can continue this when we get home..alright?” “Of course honey! Love ya!” He bent down, kissing her cheek once more. Paisley felt her cheeks become a bit warm, watching as Rex started walking away with that dumb smile on his face.
“Love you too Rex..”
