Summary
All the healing Grace found as the year came to a close is already sliping through her fingers.
She’s doing her best to build a new life with Steve and the team they call family. But her powers are shifting—pulling at her mind, unraveling memories, and dragging her back into a past she’d rather forget. Every day is a battle between the person she was and the one she’s afraid she’s becoming. Steve is her safe place—the one constant in a world that keeps tilting sideways.
When a recon mission reveals the man who’s haunted her nightmares, Grace is forced to face the truth: the doctor who experimented on her is still out there—and he’s not alone. As she’s drawn deeper into fieldwork she starts shouldering more than she’s meant to carry, Grace begins to question how much of her strength is truly hers… and how much of it is just survival.
