Work Text:
Calypso and Odysseus sit across from each other at a dinner table. Calypso's face is shining brightly while staring at Odysseus zoning out, while Odysseus looks uneasy and tired. Calypso reaches across to try to hold Odysseus's hand, but he quickly moves away.
"Oh, handsome, I'll have you one day."
Just then, there is a knock at the door; Calypso gets out of her seat nervously.
"I'll go check that out. You stay here, my love. I'll be back soon."
She walks away, leaving Odysseus alone in the room. She opens the door and finds Hermes standing there, playing with one strand of his blonde hair until he notices her.
"Good morning darling, I'm here for our little friend."
Calypso's face shifts
"Wha-what is this? He's mine!"
"Now, now darling, let's not be rash here. The man has won his freedom."
Calypso begins to look around nervously until she gets an idea.
"You know, there are always other ways."
She walks closer to Hermes and places her hand on his shoulders.
"Don't you want to have some fun?"
Hermes looks at her before slowly grabbing her hands off of him.
"Yeah, maybe that would work on a mortal, but not a god like me. And also, I already got someone; love ya, Tiresias darling."
Hermes makes out a figure in the background as she stands in the house's door frame. It's Odysseus waving for help, mouthing, "Help, Get me outta here." Hermes puts up his thumbs and turns back to Calypso, who is getting increasingly desperate.
"Look, darling. I know you love him, but he has to get home; I'll let you have a final chat with him before he is off, alright?"
"Ok, fine."
She walks back into the house, closing the door behind her.
***Not Sorry for Loving You Plays***
After waiting outside for a while, Odysseus finally comes out.
"Ah, look who it is. Ody, it's so good to see you again, darling. How did it go in there?"
"Hermes, if one more thing blocks me from getting home, may the gods help me, and I will kill it."
*Cuts to the Underworld with Tiresias and Hermes*
"Hey, Hermes?"
"Yes, darling?"
"I see Poseidon blocking Odysseus's path again. You should go warn him."
"Eh, he's fine, and it will be funny seeing him beat Poseidon."
"How do you know he will win? Not even I can foresee that."
"That man will do anything to get home to his wife, and I mean anything. Hey, by the way,
Wanna cuddle later?"
Tiresias blushes
"Sure"
