Summary
White Lily Cookie has faced more horror than she can remember. Unfortunately, it all pales in comparison to the nesting doll of truths that uncover themselves in the next few moments.
The first is that this tainted magic she’s witnessing is a glamour, forbidden by faeries, and more importantly, only something a faerie can do. The second is that the Beast reeks of salt and is dressed in iron, the living antithesis of the Fae. As cookies beg to be granted an instant of attention, their dough pales and they subside in waves, unaware that the object of their obsession is killing them.
The third, because most cursed things come in thirds, is that when Silent Salt Cookie removes their helmet, they are wearing Elder Faerie Cookie’s face.
