Kid Flash was walking down the hallway to head to Robin's room when he heard Beast Boy say "Can you believe Robin has hallucinations? How pathetic"
One second the green-skinned boy was playing a video game, and the next he was being strangled by Kid Flash's strong grip.
"Wow, wow, man, stop, you're going to kill him" Cyborg said, looking at the speedster.
"Don't talk about what you don't know, idiot" Kid Flash said, looking at the young green man with pure hatred.
The speedster left the boy on the floor and went to where he had been going all along.
When he walked through the door, he found Robin sleeping and approached his bed while remembering
Kid Flash had reached Robin's room through the window to give him his birthday present, except when he entered, his smile faded when he saw a pool of blood running toward the bathroom.
The young man ran to the door and found it locked, so he banged on it. "Robin, are you okay?" Receiving no answer, he said "Babe, if you don't open that door, I'll walk through it. You know I can do it."
Receiving no answer, he walked through the solid matter for the second time, just as his uncle had taught him to do. He found his boyfriend lying unconscious on the floor. He soon discovered that the trail of blood was coming from Robin's wrists, not from a combat wound, as he had initially thought.
Wally unlocked the door and ran out with the boy in his arms, heading for a hospital.

"Robin, please" Kid Flash said, trying to take the knife Dick was holding out of Dick's hands without much success.
"We've talked about this. You can talk to me, you can talk to your therapist. You know hurting yourself isn't the solution"
"Not hurting myself, no. Maybe a more permanent solution" Robin said, staring at the knife as he kicked Wally, who had lunged to snatch the weapon.
"Maybe that is the solution. The voices would go silent. Batman would stop looking at me with contempt. My team would leave me alone, I'd see my parents again, everyone would be happier" Robin said with a dangerous look in his eyes.
Wally used his speed powers to slow down time and take the knife away from Robin, pinning it against the wall farthest from them while he threw Robin to the floor and protected him from falling into his arms.
"Dude, killing you is never the solution. Life sucks, yes, and yours even more. But please, for my sake, don't take the easy way out. If you choose to die, you'll leave a lot of people who love you behind. Think about Alfred, who will be very sad if he has to attend your funeral. Bruce may be angry now, but he certainly doesn't want to lose another child. Think about Superman, who would be devastated to lose his unofficial nephew. Or Roy. Do you want him to go back to drugs because you decided to die? Think about my friends who have always loved you in our group. Just yesterday, Bumblebee told me she was going to invite you to have some milkshakes with her soon." Think of me, you know how guilty and hurt I'll feel if you leave. Or of your parents. I know they didn't want to meet you when you were so young, Dick. They wanted you to live. Please think of all the people who love you and would be devastated by your death" Wally said, then heard sobs and hugged the boy in his arms tighter.

Wally was quietly playing a video game in Robin's room while Robin read beside him when a hand suddenly grabbed him, digging its nails into his arm.
"Hey, Rob?" Wally asked, looking at his friend, who was staring at a fixed point on the wall.
"KF, tell me you see it too" Robin said as he continued staring at the wall.
"See what?" Wally asked.
Robin started laughing like a madman. "Oh shit, I'm so low I'm starting to hallucinate."
"Jason, he... he's looking at me. He has an angry expression on his face. I think he blames me for his death" Robin said.
"Robs, you weren't even remotely involved in Jason's death" Wally said, squeezing his friend's hand.
"He doesn't care about that. He looks at me like I killed him myself" Robin said, still staring at the wall.
"I'm sorry, Little Wing. I know I should have done more" Robin said calmly to the room.
Wally sighed and hugged his friend.
Robin finally stopped staring at the wall to bury his head in the other's shoulder.
"It's okay, Dick. It's okay to cry, and it's okay to be angry" Wally said.
"I should have done more" Dick said between sobs "I should have visited the mansion more... I should have given him my number in case he had an emergency"
"You didn't know. You didn't know that would happen. You were angry at Batman. You had other things to think about. Half of Jump City had just been destroyed. You couldn't have known that would happen that night" Wally said, rubbing his friend's back.

"What if it was my fault?" Robin said one day when Wally had slept over in his room.
"Umm?" Wally said sleepily.
"What if it was my fault they died?" Robin said, turning to look at his friend, who was now looking at him with alert and attentive eyes.
"I saw some men using the security mechanisms" Robin said.
"I could have warned them. They could be alive now" Robin said, the beginnings of a sob in his throat.
Wally pulled him closer and hugged him "You thought it was just another checkup. No one knew this was going to happen"
"But I heard them talking. I heard Haly refuse to pay Zucco for protection and how he would pay dearly for it" Robin said.
"You were a kid Robin. You were 8 years old. You couldn't have realized what was going to happen that day" Wally said.
"I should have known better" Robin said.
"Darling" Wally said, kissing the young man's head and wiping the tears from his eyes "It's no one's fault except the man who planned his death"

"Maybe if I exercise more or fight more villains he'll be proud of me" Robin said, biting his nails while curled up in a ball position on the bed.
"Honey, you haven't eaten anything in three days, and you've already defeated a lot of villains in the last week" Wally said, placing a plate of stew on a side table.
"It's not enough" Robin said.
"Love, you haven't eaten in three days, and you've worked your butt off training and fighting crime. The only thing Batman should be disappointed in is your poor grooming habits. NOW EAT" Wally said, passing the plate of food to the young man.
"I don't even know how you haven't passed out yet" Wally said, worried.
"This isn't the worst I've had" Robin said, and to avoid the pitying look Kid Flash was giving him, he grabbed the spoon and started eating.
Wally looked at his sleeping boyfriend and began using his super speed to pack his things without disturbing him, taking them somewhere else.
Wally was fed up with the team Robin was on right now. They were doing nothing but worsening his already poor mental health. The jokes and teasing, along with the hateful and derogatory comments, only served to make Robin wither away faster.
Kid Flash couldn't count the times he'd come home to find Robin crying over something his team had done or said.
It was time to free his little bird from the cage that imprisoned him.
They were leaving.
Wally smiled at the sight of the room completely devoid of personal belongings and picked Robin up in his arms. Robin didn't even have time to question about what was going on before he found himself in another room.
"Kid Flash?" Jason said, puzzled as to what his brother's boyfriend and his brother were doing in his living room.
Dick looked just as confused as he was.
"I've already moved things. We're moving here" Wally said with a smile, leaving Robin on the couch.
"WHAT?" Both brothers said
"I'm fed up, Jason. The longer Dick stays with them, the worse his mental health gets. I know Bruce is trying to be a better father, but I still don't want him around. You, on the other hand, still haven't given me any reason why you would increase Rob's suicide attempts, except for the fact that you're one of his hallucinations that drives him to suicide. But unlike me, you can knock him to the ground if he chooses to shoot himself" Wally said
"Wally, my house is full of guns" Jason said.
"It'll only be a few weeks. I plan on finding an apartment somewhere and moving in as soon as possible" Wally said.
"Well, sounds good to me" Jason shrugged.
"Do I get a say in this matter?" Dick asked in disbelief.
"NO" they both said, looking at him at the same time.
"I'll go make some food. You're both too thin" Jason said, heading into the kitchen.
Dick rubbed his eyes and relaxed on the couch, accepting his life. "Can you at least tell me that it took you to the breaking point of finally kidnapping me and taking me away from my team?"
"Beast Boy laughed at your hallucinations in front of me" Wally said, arms crossed, as he sat down on the couch.
Dick rested his head on the redhead's lap, ready to go back to sleep "I assumed they would do it when they found out."
Wally ran his hands through the black-haired's hair "Relax, honey, you won't have to put up with them anymore."
"Thanks, Wally, for everything," Robin said before falling asleep.
Wally smiled at his lover, and smiled wider when he saw the marks that were healing from Dick's last attempt at suicide.
Wally was proud that Robin had called him when he realized what he was doing.
The progress was small and not always linear, but Wally would be by Dick's side the whole way, and now that most of the problems were out of the way, Wally hoped it would be a little easier for his lover.
