“Rio,” Agatha rasped, voice hoarse. She swallowed. “I’m bleeding,” she said, trying to make the weight of her words clear with just that one sentence.
Rio’s eyes flickered, but her expression remained steady. “So I gathered," she said, lifting her hand and wiggling two fingers that were just inside Agatha. She didn't know what she would feel seeing her menstrual blood on anyone else besides herself. Truth be told, she didn't even think she had ever thought about that at all. It should have felt foreign, but instead, it stirred something deep inside Agatha, something primal and unexpected.
