it was weird being together with josh at first.. bill had hated him.. but for some reason they were obsessed with eachother and found their way.. they finally clicked and since then they were semi secretly a couple. Josh was super exited for a brony convention.. bill didnt really get joshs ovsession for my little pony.. the show wasnt shit but its clearly not for older teens.. fir sone reason it was tho. And josh was a full on a cliche with his pony toy collection.
"Comon bill its awsome! You think i should try cosplaying? I heard its pretty fun"
Bill rolled his eyes dramatically as Josh rambled on about ponies and conventions, not bothering to hide his annoyance.
"Cosplay? Really Josh? Isn't that a bit... childish? I mean, aren't those My Little Pony episodes for little kids?"
Josh glares at him turning away "You didnt have to agree to coming with me on that con" He pointed out Bill sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair in frustration.
"Yeah, yeah, I know. But you begged me to come along, remember? Said it'd mean a lot to you."
He tried to keep the sarcasm out of his voice but failed miserably.
"I also came to your dr who cenvention." Josh pointed out as if he himself wasnt obsessed with dr who.
He winces internally at the reminder, knowing he can't really argue that point. "Touché. But Doctor Who is different... it's sci-fi... it's got actual depth and... and..." Trails off, realizing he's making it worse.
"My little pony has so much lore! Wich you would know uf you would actually watch it with me" josh says annoyed while still packing his suitcase for the convention Bill crosses his arms, leaning against the doorframe with a scoff.
"Oh, I'm sure it's got loads of 'lore'. Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie probably have incredibly complex backstories, right? God forbid I actually give that show a chance."
"They do! Theres 2 universes of the same characters! Wich originally was a money grab to sell more dolls but thats not the point! The soundtrack is also amazing and the plotlines are good. Besides it teaches good lessons!"
Bill's expression turns from annoyed to slightly intrigued, despite himself. "Lessons? Like what, how to be a better pony?" He tries to make it sound mocking, but there's a hint of genuine curiosity in his tone. "And two universes?" Bill loved Alternative timelines..
"Uhuh! And Movies! Although the one movie had a total different artstyle and was basicly completly off of canon! There are also comics they are pretty rare but maybe on the con is a auction" Josh beamed exited
Bill blinks rapidly, momentarily stunned by the sheer amount of information Josh just unloaded about My Little Pony. He hadn't realized there was so much depth to a supposedly simple children's show. "Wait... hold on a second. So there's two universes, movies, comics?" ...That didnt actually sound too bad
"Im talking about it all the time you just never listen!"
Josh glares over his shoulder at Bill Bill throws his hands up in the air, finally giving up on pretending he wasn't interested. "Because you always make it sound so stupid! You keep talking about 'ponies' and 'friendship is magic' like it's some kind of cult!"
"It got 9 seasons and a extra sequel.. ugh you're such a rainbowdash" Josh says as if it was some big insult
Bill raises an eyebrow, genuinely confused. "A what now? A Rainbow Dash? Is that supposed to be an insult? Because I'm pretty sure Rainbow Dash is the cool one, right?" Joshs face changes into exitement
"You did remember some of it?" Josh says in awe
Bill tries to act nonchalant, but can't help the smug grin tugging at his lips. "Of course I remembered some of it. I may not have watched the show, but you talk about it so much that I've picked up on a few things."
"So... youre still coming right?" Josh asks pointing to bills empty suitcase yet to be packed
Bill looks at the empty suitcase, then back at Josh's hopeful face. He swallows hard, knowing he's going to regret this. "Yeah, I'm still coming. God forbid I ruin your 'Brony' convention." Josh smiles giving bill a quick peck on the cheek. How did it come to this?
Bill blushes slightly at the unexpected kiss, rubbing the back of his neck. "Alright, alright. Don't get too excited. I'm still not promising to enjoy it." He starts to pack some clothes into his suitcase. Josh had saved so much stupid money for that con.. but bill saw how happy it made his boyfriend so he held himself back from commenting about it As they arrive at the convention center, Bill can't help but stare in awe at the sheer number of people dressed as various colored ponies. He swallows hard, trying to suppress his laughter at the sight of a grown man dressed as Pinkie Pie... Bill got no point in laughing with josh wearing a fluttershy tshirt. Josh held bills hand pulling him through the entire artist alleys buying charms and keychains and art prints of all sorts of stuff.
Bill watches Josh's face light up with every purchase, and despite his initial skepticism, he can't help but feel a sense of warmth. He rolls his eyes playfully at some of the more extravagant items but doesn't complain. Instead, he asks,
"How much money have you spent so far?"
"Mhm lets see about 180$ i think?" Josh says not really caring since he saved up for it afterall
"Jesus Christ," Bill mutters under his breath. "You do realize there are still two days left of this convention, right?" He watches as Josh spots another booth selling plushies and drags him towards it.
"Fuck off.. besides there are still some shows the next days so if i go broke we can just watch the shows and small artists theres also karaoke" Joshs grin was so wide it made bill smile too.. Josh looked so damn cute.
One moment of distraction by a few fursuiters and bill was completly lost. Josh was gone and looking infront of him were a lot of chubby men with long greasy brown hair.. god josh was such a cliche.
Bill sighs, rubbing the back of his neck as he tries to navigate through the crowd of burly, long-haired men. "Great," he mutters to himself. "Josh better not be too far off, or I'm going to lose it in this sea of man-buns."
He finally found josh at a shop.. wearing some fluttershy inspired furry ears and a belt with a pony tail on it "Bill! God i swear you were just gone suddenly" Josh says accusingly grabbing Bill's hand to hold onto again his sausage fingers holding into bills tightly
Bill raises an eyebrow at Josh's furry ears and ponytail belt, trying his best not to laugh. "You can't expect me to find you easily when you blend in with the herd," he says gesturing to the surrounding 'bronies'. Bills hand clamped down just as much onto Joshs his thumb caressing Josh's loving.
"Sorry i just saw this Shop and look!" josh turned around and moved his hips making the tail swish Bill's eyes involuntarily drop to Josh's hips as the tail swishes. He quickly looks away, clearing his throat. "Yeah, you look... really into it," he says dryly, trying to hide something he refuses to even acknowledge. "Those ears suit you surprisingly well." He says trying to get rid of his blush.
"Right?? Its handmade! I got you a pair too..." Josh says with a exited grin getting rainbow dash ears out of one of his many bags looking at bill with a expecting look teasingly.
Bill freezes as Josh tries to place the rainbow dash ears on his head. "Whoa, whoa, whoa," he laughs, swatting Josh's hands away. "What part of 'I'm not a brony' do you not understand?" Bills barks out but looking at joshs expecting eyes made him crumble
"Comon.. just for the con?"
Josh bags and Bill really shouldnt be this easy to break.
Bill sighs dramatically, rolling his eyes but allowing Josh to place the rainbow dash ears on his head. He immediately feels ridiculous but can't help smiling at Josh's excited expression. "Happy now?" he asks, trying to maintain his composure despite feeling utterly out of place.
Josh nods a wide grin on his chubby face "very." Josh says giving Bill a gentle kiss.
Bill hums softly, pulling Josh closer by his hips. The tail swishes again, making him Smile into the kiss.
"How much money did you spend on those?" Bill asks a bit concerned
"Its wirth their price" *Josh waves him off kissing his cheek to distract him*
"now comon the auction starts in 15 minutes!"
Bill chuckles, shaking his head as he follows Josh towards the auction area. "You're insane, you know that?" he says, but there's a warmth in his voice that betrays his amusement rather than annoyance maybe Josh is right maybe this con is actually pretty okay.
"You love me" Josh says with a confident grin taking bills hand again squeezing it affectionately
Bill tenses slightly but doesn't pull his hand away they had come a long way with talking about their emotions. "Too damn much," he mumbles softly so only Josh can hear. He watches as Josh practically bounces with excitement, squeezing his hand. "How much are you planning to spend here?"
"Depens.. there are a few ponies i had my eye on! And the fluttershy & discord limited figure is on! And the funko pops! if they have apple jack my collection is complete! Completee!" Bill's eyebrows shoot up as he listens to Josh rattling off the various ponies he wants to bid on. "You do realize you're about to blow your entire budget on plastic horses, right?" he asks, trying to hide his laughter. "And who's Discord? Isnt that a app?"
"He's the chaos demon! But he gets redeemed he is a pretty cool character a lot of people ship him and fluttershy. Ifor my part are more of a rainbowdash x fluttershy enjoyer but to each their own"
"Of course you are." He studies Josh's eager face - the way his eyes light up talking about these cartoon ponies is kind of cute and knowing that Josh had picked the matching ears for the ship for them was just adorable. "Let me guess - Fluttershy is your spirit animal?" Bill says sarcastically with a little smile.
"Ofcourse she is! We are basicly the same fuckn person!" Josh says completly tone death about the sarcasm.
Bill was in for a looong day.
