Work Text:
The street was alive tonight.
Engines revved. Neon lights cast glowing halos over slick pavement. Crowds swarmed around the starting line, the pulse of bass-heavy music vibrating through every chest like a second heartbeat. Brian stood near his Skyline, leaning casually against the hood, a familiar cocky grin plastered across his face. He looked like the perfect image of an untouchable Alpha—cool, confident, untamed.
But anyone who knew Brian O’Conner well knew better.
He had a mate. A pregnant mate.
And two hyperactive pups who wore matching tiny leather jackets and loved to chew on socket wrenches.
Dominic Toretto didn’t usually come to races anymore, especially not when he was on the verge of popping out pup number three, but when he heard Suki was racing tonight—and more importantly, when he heard Brian would be here alone—Dom had insisted on tagging along.
“You sure you’re okay?” Brian had asked him earlier, one hand resting gently on Dom’s swollen stomach. “I can tell Roman to drive you back home after—”
Dom had grabbed him by the collar, yanked him down into a kiss that left the Alpha dizzy, and growled, “I’m not letting some pink-haired bitch flirt with my Alpha while I’m waddling around full of his third pup.”
Now, Dom watched from the shadows of the crowd, tucked beside Letty and Mia, while Brian stood alone in the open, glowing like a flame waiting for moths.
And sure enough, the moth had landed.
“Damn, Brian,” Suki purred, strutting up in skintight pink leather, licking her lips like she wanted to eat him alive. “Didn’t think I’d see you out here tonight. You back on the market or just looking for trouble?”
Brian blinked, caught mid-sip of his water bottle, and sputtered a little. “What? Uh—no, not exactly. I—”
“You know, I always thought you had a thing for me,” she said, looping her arm through his without permission. “We had some real chemistry back then. Shame you never followed up.”
Brian tried to untangle himself politely, laughing awkwardly. “Suki, it’s—uh, it’s complicated.”
“Oh, complicated,” Suki smirked. “So you are available.”
Brian opened his mouth to correct her.
Then he saw Dom storming across the pavement.
Eight months pregnant and built like a damn tank, Dom shoved through the crowd like Moses parting the Red Sea. His eyes were locked on Suki with such venom that even Roman, across the lot with Tej, muttered, “Oh shit. Here we go.”
Han elbowed Gisele and nodded toward the drama. “Place your bets?”
“I give her ten seconds before Dom bites,” Gisele murmured, snuggling into Han’s side with a smirk.
“Five,” Letty corrected flatly.
Brian barely had time to step forward before Dom had wedged himself between him and Suki like a snarling guard dog. The Omega’s scent spiked with possessiveness and pregnancy hormones, rich with mine and back off and this Alpha is taken.
“Dom,” Brian said gently, touching his arm. “Babe, it’s okay—”
“No, it’s not,” Dom snapped, turning his dark gaze on Suki. “You think just because I’m not glued to his side that he’s available? Do I look like someone who shares?”
Suki blinked, stunned. “Wait—what—are you two—?”
“We’ve been mated for years,” Dom growled, one hand cradling his belly and the other snatching Brian’s arm possessively. “We have two pups and a third on the way. He knots me so hard I can’t walk straight for a day. And you think you can flirt with him?”
Brian flushed a deep red, and somewhere behind them, Roman choked on his soda and Tej actually dropped his tablet.
Deckard and Hobbs, both looming by their car, exchanged a look. Hobbs raised an eyebrow. “That’s gonna make it awkward if she wins.”
“She’s not going to win,” Deckard grumbled. “Dom’ll probably drag race her himself just to prove a point.”
“Dom,” Brian whispered, dragging him slightly away. “You know I love you, right? You don’t have to prove anything.”
“I do,” Dom hissed, glancing over his shoulder. “She touched you.”
“And now she’s terrified,” Brian said with a soft laugh, cupping Dom’s cheek. “Come on, let’s go sit down. I’ll rub your back and kiss your stretch marks and tell you how hot you are until you forget she even exists.”
Dom narrowed his eyes.
“You’ll rub my feet too?”
“Anything you want, Omega mine.”
Dom smirked and leaned into his Alpha’s chest with a satisfied huff.
Brian wrapped his arms around Dom’s middle and kissed the side of his head, muttering into his hair, “Next time I’m wearing a shirt that says ‘Mated and Baby-Trapped by Dom Toretto.’”
Behind them, Suki cleared her throat awkwardly and backed away slowly—right into Roman and Tej, who were watching like they were front-row at a soap opera.
“Damn, that was brutal,” Tej whispered.
“Brutal and hot,” Roman added. “Yo, Tej, you ever get that jealous over me, I might just put a ring on it.”
“Ge me pregnant first,” Tej deadpanned.
“Bet.”
Han and Gisele strolled by, hands linked.
“Told you he’d bite,” Gisele said smugly.
“I owe you a foot rub,” Han muttered with a sigh.
Letty laughed and pulled Mia closer as their pups toddled around them. “We really are the most chaotic wolf pack.”
“Yeah,” Mia agreed fondly. “But it’s ours.”
