   Summary

   Tamlin looked down at the hand pressed against him, feeling the warmth of it even through the layers of clothing. Something shifted inside him, a loosening of the knot that had been tightening in his chest all day.

   "And who am I, Lucien?" he asked softly. "Sometimes I wonder if there's anything left of who I was before."

   Lucien's hand slid up to cup the side of Tamlin's neck, his thumb brushing the edge where the mask met skin. "You are still Tamlin, High Lord of the Spring Court. You are still the male who refused to bow even when all seemed lost." His voice dropped lower. "You are still the one who sees me, truly sees me, when the rest of the world looks away."
