Work Text:
So, bones. Bones are awesome. Bones aren’t just dead skeletons stuck inside living bodies, some stone-like scaffolding to make you not just a sad pile of mush. No, your living bones are just as alive as the rest of you, and they are absolutely vital to your existence, not just keeping you upright. Bone marrow is very extremely important because it’s where all the stem cells for the blood gets made: red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, all of it. There’s also bone marrow that stores fat and makes other stem cells.
Nations do not have bone marrow. Instead, their bones are full of dirt. The blood of Nations flows from the earth itself.
