He knew Ryuunosuke had been trained to answer his questions, so Dazai didn’t want it to seem like he was ordering him around at that moment. He wanted him to speak up on his own.
He reveled in the power it gave him, pretending as if he were oh-so-generously letting Ryuunosuke have power and control, when they both knew it was all just a game for his own amusement."
