STETHOSCOPE & SHOTGUN

Summary:

Kim was wheeled into a hospital after a mission went wrong. Weak and out of his wits, he opened his eyes and saw a gorgeous angel—Chay, who was actually a resident doctor.

Work Text:

"How long have you been single, Doctor Kittisawat?" Eva asked, one of the nurses at the hospital where Porchay was currently doing his residency.

Porchay laughed, then he signed something on the medical board handed to him by Nurse Eva. "Way too long. I am pretty sure I was still studying my pre-med the last time I had someone," he answered, giving back the medical board to the nurse. He leaned on the nurse's station counter as they continued talking. "I am too busy to go on a date. This hospital is always packed with patients," he added.

Nurse Eva frowned. "Why not? You're still young. 28? 29? You should have someone in your life by now, Doctor. You will never be this young again. Go out. Go on a date. Explore what's out there." She said, "Look at me, I've worked so hard over the past 20 years that I've lost the ability to flirt with people. I'm going to be an old, grumpy lady when the time comes, I'm telling you. It's not too late for you, Doc," she added.

Chay laughed again. "It's not too late for you, Nurse Eva. But I'll take your advice into account," he added with a smile as he fumbled with his stethoscope around his neck. The nurse deepened her frown, not believing a word he said.

Chay was suddenly lost in thought. Indeed, it's been so long since he's been in a relationship. He was too busy building his career as a doctor, and he neglected himself some good times. Sure, he does a few hook-ups right here and then every time he gets a day off, but that's all he got. He will not lie; he missed having someone to love and the feeling of being loved. Chay mentally sighed. When does his time for love come?

Suddenly, the young doctor jolted—cutting his internal trance—from the nurse's station when the paramedics barged in, wheeling a patient in. He was instantly beside the gurney. "Who did we get here?" he asked.

"Suspected 29-year-old male. No ID, no wallet. Multiple stab wounds. A gunshot wound on the right thigh. He lost a lot of blood during the transport. Miraculously, he is still alive. He got caught up in a shootout a few miles from here. Police believed he started it, so expect more visitors later," the lead paramedic said.

Chay sighed. That's a lot, but this is not his first case. It just means that more visitors mean more work for him. "Okay. Wheel him to Bay 2," he answered. Then, he frowned as he spotted a weapon beside the patient. "W-Wait. Is t-that..." he trailed off, flabbergasted.

"Yup, a shotgun." One paramedic casually responded, which surprised Chay. "We tried to pry it off from him, but this little bugger has a really strong grip on it," he added. Once they wheeled the patient in, the paramedics just left without a word, leaving only one still speaking to him.

The young doctor panicked and almost blocked their way, but it was too late. He faced the lead paramedic, "That is not allowed here." Chay stated.

The lead paramedic shrugged, "Well, good luck trying to get that off of him, then. In my opinion, I don't think that man is human at all," he joked and just left Chay aghast. What the hell?

A groan from the patient caught the young doctor's attention. Chay could only sigh and brace himself. He moved near the patient and said, "I am Doctor Kittisawat. I will be the one attending you. Can you tell me your name?" he asked formally. The patient didn't respond; he just groaned and slightly moved his head. The young doctor lit his penlight from his coat pocket on the patient's eye. The patient jerked his head with the sudden light.

Chay clucked his lips, "I need you to stop moving, sir. I need to examine you." he stated and once again lit up the patient's eye. He nodded once he saw that the pupils were responsive. The patient groaned once more, gripping the shotgun beside him. This scared Chay for a bit—afraid that the patient might cause havoc in the emergency room. Chay examined the wounds further, concluding that the patient needed surgery since the bullet was deep inside the wound.

Then, Nurse Eva barged into the treatment bay. "Doctor Kittisawat, is there anything I can help you with?" she asked, then looked at the patient. She frowned as she saw the state the patient was in.

Chay looked at Eva. "Prepare the operating room and page Doctor Tyme from the Anesthesiology department. Stat." The nurse nodded and left. He then continued to examine the unconscious man.

The patient grunted and slowly opened his eyes. He was out of his wits, his body ached all over. He stared at the person checking at his injuries. Suddenly, he could feel his heart beating fast. Fuck, he must be dead now and—oddly, he is in heaven. "A-Am I in heaven?" he asked bluntly.

Chay frowned at the deluding patient. "No, sir. You're in a hospital," he replied. He finally had a chance to stare at his patient. Chay could see the patient's gorgeous face despite the blood covering his face; his skin was fair and smooth, but with a few cuts and bruises, and his eyes were colored deep chocolate brown. Chay could somehow see the darkness and void of emotions in them, but the longer they stared at him, Chay was pretty sure he saw a glint in them. He felt like time had stopped around him as they stared at each other. He could feel his heart starting to beat faster and harder against his chest.

The patient weakly huffed. "No..." he muttered, shaking his head, which caused the young doctor to furrow his eyebrows. "Hospitals don't have pretty angels like you," he added. Chay raised his eyebrows in surprise and amusement. He had experienced patients flirting with him before, but this one was different. This one was clearly delirious... and cute. The nerve of this man to call him an angel when he looked like a god lying in Chay's emergency room.

The young doctor mentally shook his head and composed himself. He needs to focus and be professional. This patient is literally on the brink of dying if he loses more blood. "Sir, I need to know what your name is. Can you tell me your name?" he asked formally.

"K-Kimhan," he answered, then smirked, "B-But you can c-call me Kim, pretty angel," he added.

Even though he could feel his cheeks heating up, Chay maintained his poise. He ignored the patient's flirtatious remarks. "Okay, Kim. My name is Doctor Kittisawat. You need to have surgery now," he stated, then eyed the shotgun still lying beside the patient. "However, weapons are strictly forbidden inside the surgery room. I will need to take this for now," he said as he took hold of the shotgun.

Yet, Kim clutches it tightly against his weak body as he shakes his head again, "N-No... M-More out there... Th-They will find me in no t-time..." he mumbled, then gazed at Chay intensely, "They m-might hurt you, p-pretty angel... I m-must protect you..." he added feebly.

Chay was confused about what Kim said, but he needed surgery as soon as possible. He decides to get on with Kim's delirious state, "No one will come here. You are safe. I am safe here. Trust me. Just let me, okay?" he cooed, hands slowly taking the shotgun away from Kim. Thankfully, the patient finally lets go of the weapon.

"K-Keep it safe..." Kim mumbled. Chay was about to step away—his hand firm but cautious on the weapon in his hand—but Kim got a grip on his wrist. The young doctor let out a loud squeal of shock. The patient heaved heavily before speaking again, "A-Are you... Are y-you s-single?" he stuttered.

Chay scowled at this patient. What the hell is he asking now? How many people will ask him about his relationship status? First, Nurse Eva. Then, this delirious patient. Seriously? Gulping, Chay answered anyway, thinking that Kim would eventually forget this conversation, "Yes, I am single."

A weak smile formed on Kim's lips. "G-Great," he replied before losing consciousness.

"Theerapanyakul? The mafia?" Chay asked unbelievably, when one of his colleagues, Doctor Den, revealed the real identity of his new patient. Apparently, Kim wasn't just some random delinquent who started a shootout—he was Kimhan Theerapanyakul from the infamous mafia family. The mafia prince is what people often calls him. "Is that why the police are not here yet? They know the patient was a mafia, so they are not doing anything about it?" he asked.

Doctor Den shrugged as he continued to spin the swiveling chair he was sitting on. "Well, as they say, never mess nor involve yourself with the mafia," he commented. Chay only rolled his eyes as he leaned back in his chair. "Is that his?" he asked, pointing at the shotgun lying on the doctor's table. The more Chay stared at it, the clearer its details became visible in his eyes. It was a pure black weapon, and on its handle was an engraving of the letters K.T. encircled by some sort of family crest.

"Yeah, he told me to keep it safe before passing out. I don't understand what he meant, so that's why this thing is here. I am actually waiting for the police to get it, but I guess they won't drop by anymore," he said bitterly. Chay doesn't really know how that shotgun ended up on his table. When the patient told him to keep it safe, he had that urge to do what he said. He didn't understand, he was confused. It appears that Kim had him hooked for no reason.

Den stopped spinning and stared at Chay intently. "Do you know that people who get involved with the mafia get killed? Either by the mafia's enemies or by the mafias themselves," he said as a matter-of-factly, chewing at his licorice candy.

Chay raised an eyebrow. "I am not involved with the mafia," he answered.

Den scoffed out a laugh, "You are now. You are the doctor of Kimhan Theerapanyakul." he said.

The young doctor's blood ran cold. Does this mean he could be killed at any fucking time? If not by Kim's enemies, but by Kim himself? What an actual fuck? Chay wanted to curse the day he met the mafia. Why would they want to kill him? He was just a simple doctor who was just doing his job.

"How is your mafia patient?" Den asked suddenly, eyes staring keenly at Chay as if there was some juicy news for him to hear.

Chay casually shrugged, "At the recovery room. He has four open cut wounds I needed to stitch and a bullet deep inside his right thigh. For a normal human, it is a miracle he survived such injury," he said.

"Recovery room? Are you sure he is still there?" Den said with a laugh.

Chay frowned, his face contorted in confusion. "What do you mean?" he asked.

Den clucked his lips from fake dismay, "Doctor Kittisawat, the mafia wasn't keen on being seen in public. We are also talking about Kimhan Theerapanyakul, who is a really private person. This man prefers to work in the shadows and avoids being seen by everyone." He said, "If you didn't realize it yet, hospitals weren't really a private place, were they?" he added.

It suddenly clicked on Chay what Den was talking about. He bolted into a run out of his office, "Oh, fuck." he muttered. Patients and nurses were on his way. He politely said his excuse even though he was extremely in a hurry. He was heaving when he reached the recovery room. Doctor Tyme was already there, face in a deep scowl.

"Tyme." Chay breathes out.

Tyme briefly glanced at Chay before looking back at what he was staring at. "I went to check on your patient," he sardonically said. Chay moved closer to him, his heart in his throat. Tyme grunted. "Well, I guess it won't be needed anymore," he added.

Chay could only stare ghastly at the empty recovery bed where his patient was supposed to be lying. Kim simply vanished.

─ ⊹ ⊱ ☆ ⊰ ⊹ ─

Doctor Kittisawat received an earful from the hospital director after a patient escaped from his care. Chay could only be silent, listen to the director's words, and apologize profusely. He nearly believed that he would lose his beloved job that day. This job was his only thing, and the thought of losing it was horrifying.

It ruined the young doctor's mood for the entire week. He was thinking of how he could redeem himself. He was a respected doctor for fuck's sake. He couldn't believe only a delinquent like Kim could ruin that reputation within a day.

"Are you still upset about what the director told you, Chay? It's been a week, man. Don't dwell on it too much." Tyme said to him as they did their rounds.

"A week, but—gosh! His words were tormenting me, Tyme! It's damn humiliating!" Chay replied as he handed his med board to a nurse after he finished his rounds. "I almost lost my fucking job!" he added frustratingly.

Suddenly, Den appeared behind them, "It's okay, Chay. The director just needs someone to blame for the lack of security in this hospital." he butted in.

Chay sighed, "You guys say that because you're not the one who got reprimanded because of an escaped patient." he said. Tyme only hummed in response while Den nodded.

"What does this patient of yours look like, anyway? I never got a chance to see him." Den asked curiously.

The young doctor could suddenly feel his cheeks heating up, remembering the face of his gorgeous yet asshole of a patient. He chewed on his lips for a while as two of his colleagues stared at him and waited for his answer. He cleared his throat. "Male. Covered in blood," he answered monotonously. Den squinted his eyes as if Chay just told them the corniest joke he had ever heard.

"We heard he was very handsome," one of the nurses butted in, followed by giggles from her fellow nurses. The statement made the young doctor raise an eyebrow.

"Really?" Den said, nodding in acknowledgment.

Chay could only roll his eyes to hide his giddy expression—he remembered Kim calling him a pretty angel. He will be deceiving himself if he doesn't acknowledge that a tiny part of him longs to see Kim once more. There was no time of the day when he didn't think of him. Fuck. He always does. That brief moment of them in the emergency room stuck to him and kept repeating in his head like a broken record.

He mentally shook his head. He needs to stop thinking about Kim. Feeling like this towards his patient is insane. Damn! Chay should be mad. He almost cost him his job for fuck's sake! Why is he having such thoughts towards Kim—a mafia of all people?

The nurses and Den continued gossiping about Kim and his attractiveness. Chay rolled his eyes before clearing his throat. "I'm going. I need to write some reports," he stated, tapping Tyme on the arm before leaving.

The moment he reached his office, Chay buried his face in the palm of his hands and sighed frustratedly. "Gosh... You are insane, Chay!" he muttered to himself.

Suddenly, his office door slammed shut behind him—making the doctor jump—followed by a familiar voice saying, "What's insane, pretty angel?"

Chay spun as he stared, flabbergasted at his surprise visitor. "You..." he whispered. It was Kim standing in front of him. He was casually leaning on the door, his arms behind him, and his cold, stoic eyes were staring at Chay intensely. This person was completely different from what Chay saw in the emergency room. His aura was dark and strong, which intimidated Chay. The young doctor gulped nervously. "What are you doing here?" he asked.

The mafia prince pushed himself off the door and moved towards him. Closer and closer. A loud gasp came out from Chay's lips as he saw the shotgun he kept in his drawer—already in the mafia prince's hand, casually swaying on his side like it was nothing.

"A-Are you here to kill me?" Chay asked in a fearful voice. He never thought this would be his end. He simply did what he swore to do— save people. He never thought that meeting and saving someone from the mafia would be his demise. Chay could only step back until he felt his thighs hitting his table. His breath hitched once Kim was a few inches away from him.

Kim smirked, "No, I could never do that to you, pretty angel," he mumbled, his breath grazing the angel's face. "Thanks for keeping this one safe. It's quite important to me," he added, referring to his precious shotgun that he had carefully placed on the doctor's table behind them.

Chay gulped nervously. "What are you doing here?" he asked again. He could only stare at Kim's eyes. They were dark and menacing, still void of emotions. They were piercing through him like knives. Yet, he couldn't look away.

"Following up on my check-up from a pretty angel," Kim answered alluringly.

Chay was speechless, and his knees were weakening as time passed by. Kim was so close that Chay could smell the faint scent of nicotine and perfume from him. They both had a staring match for a moment. Fuck. Chay was completely smitten with Kim. He was way more gorgeous without the blood covering his face. However, there is a bruise on Kim's corner lip. Still, he was mesmerizing.

Despite his nervousness, Chay gathered all the remaining courage in his chest and said, "You vanished! You almost cost me my job!" he angrily said.

Kim licked his lips as he stared at Chay's beautiful doe eyes, then at his plump pink lips. The pretty angel's face contorted into a deep frown; despite this, he appeared truly enchanting in Kim's eyes. If only the young doctor knew how obsessed Kim was with him. The mafia prince thought about him constantly, day and night. Kim couldn't seem to shake him from his mind. The pretty angel's face was etched into his memory the moment he laid his eyes on him. He might have been delirious at that time, but Kim didn't care; it was the most magical moment of his life.

However, as much as Kim wanted to own the doctor, he couldn't. Not yet. He can't bring the innocent doctor into his dark world yet. It was too dangerous, he couldn't risk the life of the pretty angel who took care of him. Kim knew that the moment he stepped into this hospital and had the pretty angel as his doctor, his life was already in danger. For a whole week, Kim did nothing but eliminate his enemies and every possible harm to him and his pretty angel. In spite of the strong craving to taste the lips of the angel, he endured it to make sure he would be safe once he had him.

All of it was worth it, now that he was in front of him; his pretty eyes were glaring at him. Kim smirked. "I'm sorry, pretty angel. I'll make it up to you," he said, his finger playing with the stethoscope hanging around the angel's neck. "Can I have that check-up now, pretty angel?" he asked, tilting his head to the side playfully.

Chay should be mad, must be mad! Yet, he can't. His mind went haywire having Kim this close to him. Even the way he played his stethoscope was way too sexy in his eyes. Chay knows that the morals in him are slowly dwindling away. The young doctor gulped and composed himself. Kim is here as a patient, and he is a doctor. He needs to do what he was sworn to do. He addressed the bruises on Kim's lip, "That seems fresh. What happened?" he asked.

Kim chuckled in a low tone as he slowly pulled himself away from the doctor, "Fights. Lots of it. Would you believe it if I told you that I did it for you?" he said with a laugh. The pretty angel just stared at him dead in the eye. He lowered his head. "Of course, you don't believe me," he added.

Chay doesn't understand what Kim just said to him. What exactly did he do for him? He just shook his head. "I need to see the gunshot wound if it's healing well," he stated.

Kim pressed his lips into a thin line before speaking, "Oh, it's not," he answered.

Chay raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"Pretty angel, this is not a sitting-pretty kind of life. I ran everywhere. Killing people is not as easy as you think, especially if there are people who want to do the same thing to me," he explained.

Chay could feel a shiver running along his spine. Right. Of course, it was so obvious. The Mafia kills people as easily as it kills a bug. Chay saves people's lives while Kim takes them. What a contradictory life they lead. Chay let out a huge exhale. "I still insist on examining the wound, Kimhan," he demanded.

Kim licked his lips. Oh, he liked the way his name rolled off the angel's tongue. How good would it be if he moaned at them? Fuck. Kim wants a taste, just a tiny taste of the angel. He smirked, "You want me to strip my pants, pretty angel?" he teased.

"You're not the first patient I saw naked. The wound." Chay insisted. Kim's smirk widened as he unbuckled his belt. They were staring at each other intensely as Kim fumbled with his fly, putting down his pants on knee high, just enough for the young doctor to see his wound. Chay gasped loudly, seeing how infected the wound was. The suture was still there, and it looked bad. He won't be that shocked if that's the only injury Kim has. He had more; more cuts and bruises than Chay first saw him. These were fresh, like a few days old. Chay looked at Kim's eyes, "Get your clothes off," he demanded.

"What? You want me to strip off?" Kim asked, amused by what the angel was saying to him. "I thought you were an angel. It seems like you're a devil as well," he teased.

Chay groaned frustratingly. "Now, Kimhan!"

Kim chuckled amusedly and shrugged, "Fine. Doctor's orders." He then proceeded to take off his shirt and pants. "Do you want me..." he playfully asked the doctor, referring to his boxer brief, which was the only clothing on his body. The angel firmly shook his head, his cheeks turning rosy red.

Chay could only stare ghastly at Kim's body. It shouldn't surprise him, especially from a delinquent like Kim. Yet, Chay was still shocked. Kim's torso sustained more wounds and injuries. Red and purple bruises were patterned on his fair skin. His stitches were exposed and had no bandages on them. They were red and swollen, obviously infected. The doctor clucked his lips in disapproval as he touched Kim's skin with his gentle fingers. "What did you do? Don't you even know how to take care of your wounds?" he reprimanded.

Kim only grinned smugly and didn't answer. Instead, he let himself enjoy the warmth of the angel's touch on his body. He adored it so much that he wished the angel's touch would last a lifetime. He would let the angel touch him whenever he wanted, and Kim would savor every moment. Why would he bother tending to his injuries when he has an angelic doctor to take care of them? Kim is right; everything is worth it if his angel touches him like this.

Chay's frown deepened when Kim didn't respond to him. When he looked back at his eyes, Kim was staring at him lustfully. He could feel it coursing through his body, igniting a fire in him once more. He could feel his cheeks reddening. He retracted his hand but stopped when Kim firmly gripped him around his wrist, making him gasp loudly.

"Don't. Just touch me, pretty angel." Kim remarked in a quiet voice, seemingly urging Chay to give him more touches. This almost tempted Chay, almost breaking him. Yet, Chay remained unyielding, fighting the urge to throw himself to this gorgeous man before him.

Chay completely withdrew his hand from Kim's grip. "Are you insane? Your wounds are infected," he spat. "And it's Doctor Kittisawat," he reminded him. Kim only smirked and tilted his head to the side. Kim kept flirting with him, and Chay hated that his antics were getting to him. The young doctor sighed frustratedly. "Stay here," he commanded as he walked past Kim.

However, before the doctor could ever hold the doorknob, the mafia prince was already gripping his wrist once more—spinning him to face him. "There is no way you are leaving me here half naked, pretty angel," he said in a dark tone.

Chay clucked his lips. "It will be quick, Kimhan. I need to grab some things to tend your wounds," he stated.

Kim was silent, processing the angel's words. "You can never tell anyone that I am here," he said seriously.

"Why? Would you hurt me if I did?" the young doctor asked. The mafia prince didn't answer; instead, his grip on him was loosening. With that gesture, the doctor confirms that the mafia prince won't hurt him. Chay completely freed himself from Kim's hold. "I will be back. Stay here, and don't touch anything," he said, and he left his office, not even waiting for Kim's response.

Chay ran into the nearest supply room to grab a few things he would need to take care of his hard-headed patient. He struggled to gather supplies in his hand, cursing to himself when one fell, meaning that the material was contaminated, and he had to grab another clean one.

Then, he saw Nurse Eva when he walked past the nurses' station. He quickly made a detour to her. "Nurse Eva, if anyone finds me, tell them I am not here. Don't let anyone get in my office," he said. The nurse frowned as she stared at the young doctor, wondering why he had so many medical supplies in his arms. Before she could even speak, Chay had already run back to his office.

When he entered his office, he caught up with Kim sitting in one of the chairs and reading one of his patient's files. He grunted and took the file away from Kim. "I told you not to touch anything," he muttered irritably at the delinquent.

Kim smirked at him, "What took you so long, pretty angel? I'm starting to miss you," he teased as he stood up.

Chay only rolled his eyes and put his supplies on his table. "We need to re-stitch some of your wounds because of infection." he stated, then stopped when he realized something, "Fuck, I forgot the anesthesia," he mumbled.

The young doctor heard the lock of his door clicking, which made him spin, facing Kim who locked it, "No need. I am immune to the pain," he said with a grin.

Chay scowled. "Are you insane?"

Kim's smirk widened as he moved closer to the doctor. "To you, I am very much insane, pretty angel," he declared as he pinned his pretty angel between his body and the table. "Really, pretty angel. Anesthesia is not needed. In my life, pain is just a tickle," he mumbled, staring at the angel's lips and eyes.

Chay could feel his cheeks blushing once more, seeing that Kim was partially nude in front of him and he could sense his body heat. A soft gasp escaped from his lips when Kim leaned in closer and closer to him. He won't deny that he almost leaned in too, but he kept his mind straight. He placed a hand on Kim's chest, stopping him from kissing him. "Kimhan..." Chay whispered in a soft tone.

"I like that you're touching me, but hate it so much that you are pushing me away," Kim said in a dark tone.

Chay bit his lower lip, then spoke, "Let me take care of your wounds first."

"Then, we will talk?" Kim questioned, eyes intense on the angel.

Chay sighed and probably did one of the boldest things he had ever done—he leaned into Kim and placed a chaste kiss on his lip's corner. When he pulled away, the mafia prince's wide eyes were fixed on him. "Then, we will talk," Chay replied, prompting Kim to give him the widest and—perhaps—the most beautiful smile he had ever shown the doctor as he stepped back.

The doctor visibly sighed in relief. He motioned for Kim to sit, and the patient compliantly obliged. Kim couldn't suppress the smile on his lips. The pretty angel kissed him; he did it first. The pretty angel wanted him as much as he wanted him, he could feel. He thought that if he followed every order that the angel had told him, he would gain a spot in heaven, his own taste of heaven. Kim liked the idea of it.

Chay grabbed his lamp and placed it near Kim. The bright light didn't even bother the mafia prince as he watched the doctor move around the office, not even blinking an eye. Chay then removed his coat to hang them on his chair and his stethoscope, which was placed on his table—just beside Kim's shotgun. He rounded his table to grab a face mask and a pair of surgical gloves and put them on before moving back to Kim. He looked at his patient worriedly. "Are you sure you won't need anesthesia?" he asked.

Kim firmly shook his head. "No," he answered. The angel only sighed in defeat. His next moves made Kim raise his eyebrows in interest. Chay kneeled and widened Kim's legs apart, his eyes on the infected wound on the right thigh. "Are you really going to tend my wound or give me the best head ever?" he asked with a smirk. The angel's pretty eyes glared up at him, which made his smirk widen. Kim shrugged. "I prefer the latter," he added.

"Don't move," Chay ordered, and his stubborn patient did stay still. He observed the swollen wound before making a move. He then took the suture scissors and carefully cut the old stitches.

Silence enveloped them for a few moments before Kim spoke again, "Did you mean what you answered to me at the emergency room last time? Were you really single?" he asked.

The young doctor shot him a quick glance before looking down again. Is he for real? He literally just kissed him a few moments ago, and then he will ask if he's single. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, is he? Chay responded, "Yes, I have been single for a very long time. Why do you ask?"

Kim grinned, glad to know that the pretty angel had no lover. It's a great chance for him to make his move. "Nothing. I am glad to know that," he said, but the pretty angel ignored his statement.

Kim watched the doctor intently, slowly tilting his head to the side to observe without interrupting the procedure. The doctor was carefully removing and replacing the old stitches with new ones. Kim couldn't care less about what the doctor was doing. He barely acknowledged the needle piercing his skin and hardly noticed the pain, if there was even any.

The mafia prince focuses on the fact that a pretty angel is sitting between his legs. The sight was extremely alluring: the angel's long lashes batting every now and then; his eyebrow furrowed together in intense concentration; and his hand and finger delicately touching Kim. If it wasn't for those damn gloves, he would have felt the warm touch of the angel on his skin. The view was igniting a fire within him that he kept controlling. He liked what he was seeing, he wished to see it all day, every day.

Kim couldn't stop the arousal rising in his system. The angel is too delectable in his sight. He could feel his member getting harder in his underwear. With a playful smirk on his face, Kim covered his growing crotch. The pretty angel glowered up at him from moving when he was just closing his wound.

Kim smiled at him. "It was all your fault being so pretty down there, pretty angel," he said.

Chay rolled his eyes, thanking the stars that his cheeks were covered by the mask he was wearing. "I told you not to move. I'm almost done," he said, then continued with what he was doing. The young doctor kept his breathing steady and his mind clear. Kim thought that he didn't see his hardening groin, but Chay did. He even saw it fucking move against its restraint, and Chay hated himself for having such dirty thoughts in the middle of work. He wasn't usually like this, but everything about Kim made his mind go haywire.

Chay is burning from the inside, the lust in his body getting stronger by the second. He could sense Kim's gaze piercing him. He just kept his focus away from Kim and his half-naked physique. After closing the wound, he gave attention to the other injuries. These were more on cleaning and disinfecting, which was easy.

"Do you need help with those sweats, pretty angel?" Kim suddenly asked him.

Chay shook his head as he stood up, wiping his dripping sweat with his sleeves. "Stand up. You may lean back to the table, so you won't get tired from standing," he said, and Kim obliged. It was probably the worst thing he told him to do. Kim leaned back to his table, propping one hand behind him to support himself; looking like a fucking model sculpted by the Greek gods. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Chay was caught up with Kim's toned abs and great physique. He could feel his heart beating fast and his mouth salivating at the sight.

"You are free to touch it, pretty angel. I won't say no to you." Kim teased him, seeing that the angel was staring at his body. When Chay looked up to his face, the familiar playful smirk was already etched on his lips. The young doctor mentally shook his head and focused back on his work.

"I need you to turn the light to yourself," he said, motioning the lamp. Kim tilted his head in wonder and only stared at him. Chay sighed and raised his hand in front of him. "I can't touch it, or it will be contaminated. I need the light, Kimhan," he stated.

"Okay. Whatever the pretty angel said," Kim said, turning the light on his torso. Chay focused on Kim's torso injuries. The moment he touched him, a satisfying hum escaped Kim. Chay shot him a glare. "I like it every time you touch me," Kim stated.

Chay repeated what he had done earlier, removing the old stitch and replacing it with a new one. "Do you always do that? Flirt with everyone?" he asked, focusing on his work.

"I don't just flirt with everyone, pretty angel. I am quite picky. I only like pretty things." Kim replied, his eyes glued to the pretty angel. "And you are a really pretty angel," he added with a smirk.

"Hmm. How lucky am I." Chay responded sardonically.

Kim softly chuckled, causing Chay to hiss at him since he was moving. "You are the only one that I want. You make me crazy, pretty angel. You are always on my mind. Believe me when I tell you that these wounds were for you. I know that the moment we met at the emergency room, your life was already in danger. People near me end up hurt or dead. What I did was to protect you. I don't want a pretty angel like you to get hurt," he said.

Chay stopped his movements, and their eyes locked in an intense stare. He was trying to find a hint of mischief in Kim's dark eyes, but there was nothing—just pure seriousness and sincerity, as if what he said was actually true. He continued what he was doing. "Why would people want to hurt me?" he asked.

"Leverage." Kim simply answered. "Especially now that I have no means of letting you go. I might have killed a few of my enemies, but there are more. I want to protect you, and I will wholeheartedly," he added.

Chay could hear his heart beating so strongly against his chest that he could almost hear it in his ears. They fell into a comfortable silence. Chay was finished with his work. Just a few more stitches and disinfecting Kim's other wounds, and then they would be done.

"Why me?" Chay blurted out.

"Why not?" Kim simply replied. "I never asked myself why you, so why not you? I want you, as simple as that," he added, slowly sliding a hand on the angel's waist.

A soft gasp escaped from the doctor's lips as he gazed at Kim. After a moment, Chay could only sigh, feeling himself falling harder and harder for the man in front of him. He should have moved away from Kim's touch but couldn't find himself doing so. Was he that touch-deprived that he let a mafia prince touch him and get into his head? This man is dangerous as hell!

"You know, I wouldn't mind getting hurt repeatedly if I had a pretty doctor like you to look after me. Because, believe me, you are incredibly beautiful." Kim suddenly said, squeezing the doctor's waist.

Chay furrowed his eyebrows and looked at Kim. "I don't like that idea, Kimhan," he replied irritably. Gosh! Kim is insane. What the hell is he saying? Kim chuckled as if what he said was just a simple joke.

"You may simply call me Kim, you know," Kim said, then smirked once more. "Or baby, babe, love. Call me whatever you want, pretty angel. I am all yours," he whispered flirtatiously. Chay only grunted in response.

Chay is done tending to Kim's torso wounds a few minutes later. They looked better than before, with new and clean bandages over them. "I think you're good. Just don't move too much, or they might open again," Chay said.

"Would you like to keep an eye on me, pretty angel?" Kim asked.

"What?" Chay asked as he removed his face mask. He could smell Kim's scent again, lingering in his nose.

"I have a hospital. Work for me there." Kim offered, his hand snaking behind Chay's lower back. "No directors there will yell at you," he added and chuckled.

The young doctor only rolled his eyes and crossed his arms against his chest. He won't wonder how Kim knows that information. He's a damn mafia—of course, he knows that. "And whose fault was that?" he asked bitterly.

Kim laughed, "That's why I am offering this to you as an apology and compromise." he said.

Chay rolled his eyes. All of a sudden, Kim didn't seem to be dangerous to him. He could feel himself easing up around him. "So, you're offering me a job to be your personal doctor?" he asked.

"That idea didn't sound so bad," Kim answered with a smirk. "But I prefer you to be my lifetime lover," he added.

Chay groaned to hide that he felt giddy with Kim's words. He couldn't believe that he was actually falling into his words. They gazed at one another for a long time. Chay only noticed how close they were to each other. He stared at his lips. "Oh, I just remembered your busted lips. I'll put some ointment on it," he said as he attempted to take the bottle of ointment, but Kim stopped him, his fingers wrapped around Chay's wrist firmly.

"Don't," Kim said in a serious tone.

"What?" Chay spat at him, annoyed. What is his antic this time? He will just apply some ointment.

"I prefer you not to put an ointment on my lips or I won't be able to kiss you," he whispered seducingly.

"Kim—" Chay's words were cut off when Kim pulled him and kissed him. There was nothing he could do to push him away. It seemed like every strength in his body vanished instantly the moment their lips met, allowing himself to drop into Kim's embrace.

A sigh of satisfaction escaped from both of them. Their tongues dance around with each other. Chay could taste a faint hint of nicotine and mint on Kim's tongue. It was fucking addictive, making his head spin on how good it was. He thoughtlessly wrapped his arms around Kim's neck, deepening their kiss.

Kim groaned with the gesture, both his hands wrapped around the angel's body and pulling him closer. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Chay tasted heavenly. Kim knew his lips would taste like this, but—damn! It was fucking better. He loved how the angel's lips danced against his own. They're fucking warm and sweet. It appears that Kim is dependent on it.

Kim slid a hand in between Chay's ass cheeks and squeezed them. This made the young doctor gasp loudly. The mafia prince took this opportunity to slide his tongue into the angel's mouth, tasting and exploring the inside like the hungry man that he was. Chay could feel himself getting weaker and weaker by the second, depending on his full weight on Kim. He couldn't hold back the moans coming out of his mouth.

Chay tried to gather the remaining thoughts on his mind and whispered, "Kim... Your wounds..." he whispered in between their kisses. He had one hand tangled in Kim's long back hair and the other carefully placed on the chest.

Kim didn't mind his injury. His head is filled with the pretty angel in his arms. "Fuck. Pretty angel, you tasted fucking heavenly," he muttered against the angel's lips, then trailed open-mouth kisses along his jaw and neck. "So fucking sweet, so fucking delicious," he added, licking Chay on the neck.

Chay visibly shivered and unconsciously tilted his head to the side, giving Kim more access to his skin. The mafia prince gladly bites on his flesh and leaves territorial marks for everyone to see. Chay called out to him once more with a soft moan, pushing Kim this time with all the remaining strength in his body. This made the mafia prince groan annoyingly.

"Kimhan, your wounds might open..." Chay mumbled in a soft tone, his mind still spinning from their hot make-out session.

Even though he was annoyed, Kim couldn't help but adore the sinful sight in front of him: the angel's round orb eyes were hazed with arousal; his breathing was deep and slow; his cheeks were tinted in rosy pink; and his lips were swollen red and covered with Kim's saliva. Holy fuck! Kim wanted more. He wanted to taste the angel more. He was fucking addicted to him; to his scent, his face, and his taste. Kim loves everything about this pretty angel in his arms.

With a dark and lustful stare, Kim said to Chay, "You are fucking gorgeous, pretty angel. Please be fucking mine and I will be fucking yours forever."

─ ⊹ ⊱ ☆ ⊰ ⊹ ─

Doctor Kittasawat busted out of his office, running as fast as he could to the emergency room. He was washed over by panic and anxiety, his face contorted with worry. He got paged from the emergency room—a page he never thought he would receive and would never want to.

Doctor Kittisawat, the black cat is in the cage.

That was the page, and he didn't like it at all. He just ran, barely holding back tears. When he reached the nurse's station, he was catching his breath, his anxiety lingering.

"Where is he?" he asked.

"Trauma Bay 5, Doctor Kittisawat," the nurse replied, and Chay didn't waste a second running toward it. He waited impatiently for the sliding door to open. He dashed to Trauma Bay 5, located at the far end of the emergency room. His heart pounded in his chest as he saw the curtains being drawn shut. The doctor quickly opened them.

There, sitting at the edge of the bed, is his dangerous mafia boyfriend, Kim, smiling widely at him. He clutches his left arm, and his precious shotgun lies beside him. "Oh, hello, my pretty angel. I missed you!" Kim greets him warmly.

Chay let out a loud sigh of relief as he closed the curtain behind him. "I told you! I told you many times that I could see you anywhere and everywhere but never in my emergency room," he scolded, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "You scared me to death, Kim!" he added, his voice breaking.

Kim grasped his hand and drew him closer. "I'm sorry, my angel. I didn't mean to scare you," he softly said to him.

Chay visually examined him for a wound or blood, but there was nothing. "What happened? What are you doing here?" he asked.

Kim sheepishly smiled at him and pointed at his shoulder, "I think I dislocated this one. I had a bad fall while doing a mission," he said casually.

"What?" he shouted, glancing at the shoulder. Damn. That one might be really painful, but the way Kim smiled at him, it seemed like he wasn't feeling any pain at all. Sometimes, Kim's high pain tolerance scares Chay. How can he not feel pain? Is he really that immune, or is he just accustomed to such injuries?

"It's okay, angel. I'm okay. I know you can pop this one back in place in no time. I trust you." Kim said, then pecked a quick kiss on his boyfriend's lips. "You're the best doctor I could ever ask for," he added in a whisper, finger playing with the stethoscope wrapped around the doctor's neck. Kim likes doing that.

Chay clucked his lips in annoyance. "I can, Kim, but I have to order an x-ray for that," he said and attempted to step away, but Kim had a firm grip on him with his good arm.

"Don't. Just pop it back in. Big and I used to do that before at home. I will be fine. Trust me." Kim cooed, squeezing Chay's waist for assurance.

Chay sighed irritably. Having such a stubborn patient who is also his boyfriend was tough for him to handle. Every time he tends to Kim's injuries, he probably breaks hundreds of proper medical procedures. He even worked in a hospital owned by Theerapanyakul after dating his mafia boyfriend for more than a year, but when Kim was the patient, no medical procedure could be performed properly. "Be thankful I love you or else I already have you knocked out with some sedative," he stated sardonically.

The mafia prince hummed in satisfaction. "And I love you too, my pretty angel," he replied. Kim couldn't feel more lucky to have the prettiest angel as his doctor.

Chay removed his stethoscope from his neck and placed it on the bed—just beside Kim's shotgun. These two things were so special to them—perhaps, too special that they have each other's initials engraved side by side on both of these things. People might see it as obsessive and insane; but for Kim and Chay, it was fucking romantic.

The doctor pulled away from Kim and placed himself behind him. He examined the injury, concluding that closed reduction was needed. It was a quick but quite complicated procedure. The doctor firmly held Kim's arm and shoulder, then manipulated the bone back to its place. A few more push and pull of the limb, and they both felt the bone popping back to its original position.

Kim let out a soft chuckle as if tickled by the procedure, making Chay furrow his eyebrows. He released the limb and moved in front of Kim again, saying, "Don't move it... yet..." His words hung in the air, watching as Kim already began stretching and circling his shoulder. "Are you serious? I was about to say, 'Don't move it,'" he said sarcastically.

Kim laughed, "It's okay, angel. I feel fucking better now." he said and pulled his boyfriend by the waist in quick movement. This made the young doctor squeal in surprise. "See... I can hold you with two arms now. I prefer it this way," he whispered.

Chay exhaled. "Fine, but I still need that x-ray to see if we popped it right in place. I need the injury to heal properly," he said. Staring at his boyfriend, Chay realized how much his life had changed ever since they started dating. He entered a very dangerous life, but—hey! He finally got what he wanted: to have someone to love and the feeling of being loved. Maybe he was being loved too much by Kim, his possessive and obsessive mafia boyfriend. Chay loves it very much.

Kim grinned, "Sure. Whatever my doctor said," he answered, then claimed his boyfriend's lips in a hungry kiss. The angel in his arms couldn't suppress the moan from his pink lips. Kim groaned as he entered his tongue into the angel's mouth, tasting every nook and cranny of the hot, sweet mouth. He was instantly in heaven, tasting the angel's lips. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. He couldn't get enough of it. "I miss you... I miss you so fucking much..." he muttered in between the kisses.

Chay moaned softly and thoughtlessly wrapped his arms around his boyfriend's neck, "Kim... We're literally together this morning. You had me for breakfast." he mumbled, shivering when he remembered how Kim bend him over the dining table and fucked him senseless. A shaky breath came out of his lips as his mafia boyfriend trailed open-mouth kisses along his jaw and neck. He let out a loud gasp as Kim kneaded his ass cheeks against his pants.

Kim hummed, "Oh yeah. I bet my come was still oozing from that well-fucked hole of yours, pretty angel," he seductively whispered in his ear and nibbled on it after.

Chay bit his tongue to hold back his moans as he felt Kim brushing their hardening groins together. "K-Kim... we're in the emergency room..." he breathes out, unconsciously tilting his head to the side, giving Kim access to his skin. He let out a quiet moan when Kim licked the sensitive spot on his neck.

"So? It's not like we haven't done it in any part of this hospital." Kim muttered on his skin. He likes how the angel grips his hair and nape, as his dear life depends on it. Kim only holds his fragile angel in his arms.

What Kim said was true. They have done it everywhere: in his office, in a hospital bed, in a private ward, and even in the restroom. Wherever and whenever their arousal caught them up, but never ever in the emergency room. He realized they hadn't done it here when he was always here every day at work. "Kim... Anyone could get in..." Chay whispered feebly.

Kim chuckled darkly, "Then, we should make it quick, my pretty angel." he muttered and sealed their love in a deep and passionate kiss. The mafia prince will never get enough of the taste of his pretty angel.
