(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Anon was remarkably resilient; her body was almost invincible. She practically never caught a cold or had a fever, she was virtually unbeatable! Except for her vision. Well, that's just how the world works: some are born with exceptional attributes in many areas, but end up having weaknesses in others. For Anon, her eyes were her biggest vulnerability.

She spent the entire spring with watery eyes. Everyone at her old school was having a great day until, suddenly, the student council president appeared at school crying! It was obviously a misunderstanding, but the interrogation was lengthy. Anon had to promise three times that no one had bothered her.

She did everything to ensure it would never happen again. She used her eye drops religiously to guarantee her eyes were at 100%. However, that wasn't the case this morning.

Tomori and Anon were in the astronomy club. Anon was playing her guitar quietly, her fingers gliding lightly over the strings, searching for a random melody that might emerge from the instrument. Tomori, on the other hand, was focused on finishing writing the next lyrics for their upcoming show. The deadline was tight, and Soyo was already starting to show concern, so the task of not disturbing Tomori fell to Anon.

"As if I'd disturb anything!" Anon thought, muttering to herself. Before she knew it, Tomori seemed to have already lost focus on the lyrics. She stared at Anon, her gaze wandering over the guitarist's face. When eye contact finally happened, Tomori seemed to snap out of her own thoughts.

"Anon-chan... Are you crying?" The words were slowly uttered by the vocalist. Anon quickly brought her hand to her face, feeling small tears running down her eyes. She closed them while trying to wipe them with her sleeve.

"Ah! This? It's nothing! I just get watery eyes sometimes during this time of year."

"... I'll... I'll get a tissue."

"Eh?" Tomori got up from her chair so hastily she almost knocked it over. She turned towards the door and left. Anon stood up, leaving her guitar behind, and went after her friend.

"Tomorin! Wait up!"

The guitarist called out, but it was too late. Haneoka's 'little squirrel' was already wandering the hallways, asking with difficulty where to find a tissue.

After a few minutes, Tomori returned triumphantly, holding a tissue in her hands. Her face was red, probably from the adrenaline of the moment. 'Maybe Tomori has evolved to a new level of socialization,' the guitarist thought, as she accepted the tissue to wipe away her tears.

It was another day. Only Anon and Taki were at practice. Soyo had gone out with Raana and Tomori to buy some snacks, leaving these two "poor dogs" behind to wait. Taki gritted her teeth just thinking about why Soyo had left them out. Anon, however, was more focused on other people's lives, endlessly scrolling through the news feed on her phone, her eyes glued to the screen.

"Are we going to practice or not, after all?" Taki grumbled, picking up her drumsticks and pointing one of them at Anon, almost like a blade. Anon just shrugged, barely paying attention.

Coming from Anon, Taki could interpret that as a challenge, as if the guitarist wanted to provoke an argument. But, before something probably rude could come out of Taki's mouth, she let out a huge "Huh?!"

Anon jumped slightly in surprise. She was about to say it was just a joke, just to prevent Taki from starting a boring 20-minute monologue. But, before she could respond, her vision suddenly blurred, and she felt her face get wet.

'Not again! Twice this week? Have my eyes gotten more sensitive? But wait... doesn't the human body evolve to become more immune? Why is the opposite happening?' Anon thought. Whatever she had done wrong, she knew very well that she would need to buy another bottle of eye drops later.

"Ah! I'm just tearing up! It happens sometimes..." Anon said.

"Hey, stay still!"

"Ehh?! Rikki?"

Anon felt one of Taki's hands grab her shoulder, while the drummer wiped her tears with the sleeve of her clothes. Anon stood motionless, in shock. Rikki was being very kind at that moment...

"It's okay! Crying is good for the eyes, you know?" Anon hummed, Taki just responded with a click of her tongue.

"If you're going to cry, cry for Tomori's lyrics," Taki completed, abruptly cutting the mood with her typical 'loyal soldier to the king' speech. Anon laughed, while waiting for Taki to wipe the last tear.

"I have eye drops in my bag, I'll get them."

"Yay! Rikki is the best!"

"Hmmm..." Taki murmured.

"Which one will you have?"

"Matcha."

"Err... I don't even know why I asked..." Anon sighed, letting out a soft laugh as she bought a matcha latte for the albino next to her. Her hands were eagerly open, waiting to receive the drink. Anon, on the other hand, was drinking a strawberry milkshake, incredibly delicious. She had tried to recommend that cafe to the others, but none of them really managed to go.

Actually, Tomori was busy with schoolwork. Soyo refused the invitation before even knowing where it would be. Taki, in turn, rejected it as soon as she found out Tomori wasn't going. Only Raana showed up. Anon felt her heart start beating again and her faith in humanity grow. A little dramatic? Yes. But, at that moment, Anon felt much happier having company.

The guitarist took another sip of her milkshake. The sugary taste, mixed with a small, invasive... salty flavor? Anon touched her face, feeling, once again, the tears running down.

"Anon..."

"Ah! I'm tearing up again!" she exclaimed.

"Here." Raana took a small white handkerchief out of her pocket. Anon gently took it. Despite being simple, it was very soft and warm.

"Oh... thank you," she said, as she wiped the tears from her cheeks. Raana positioned herself next to her, patting Anon's back lightly. It was a cute gesture coming from Raana, almost like she was an emotional support animal.

"Raana-chan, you don't need to worry. I just tear up sometimes, without realizing!"

Raana just murmured, implying she understood what Anon said. Even so, she didn't stop comforting the girl.

"Anon... interesting."

What could be so interesting about crying, anyway? Anon didn't mind. Her face lit up at receiving a possible compliment.

"Raana-chan, you could say that in front of Rikki, couldn't you? ~"

"Hmm..." Raana murmured.

The guitarist and bassist duo were leaving after another chaotic band practice. Anon skipped ahead, talking incessantly about every topic that crossed her mind, while Soyo followed closely behind, struggling to keep up with the guitarist's lively pace. Soyo could easily be mistaken for an owner taking her dog for a walk...

When they reached the point where they would part ways, Anon turned to Soyo and waved cheerfully.

"Soyorin! See you later!" she said, full of enthusiasm ,
Soyo responded with a small smile.

"Anon-chan, you know we're meeting tomorrow. There's no need to get so emotional."

"Eh? Ah!" Anon exclaimed, as she put her hand to her face, feeling a pang of nostalgia. Without realizing it, she had started tearing up again that week. Anon felt a slight embarrassment and tried to wipe away the tears.

"Let me help."

The bassist took a small handkerchief out of her pocket, decorated with delicate gold details on the ends. With gentle gestures, she approached Anon and began to gently wipe the tears that were running down her face.

"Soyorin, don't worry~ I'm just tearing up."

"Yes, I can see that," Anon murmured a little awkwardly as Soyo stayed close, her other hand lightly patting Anon's arm, almost as a comfort.

"I kind of worried everyone, hehe. But everyone has been very kind to me, even Rikki!"

"It must be because Anon-chan is very kind too."

Anon was silent for a moment, feeling her face warm as a slight blush formed. She nodded, keeping a silly smile on her face, trying not to show how touched she was to realize the affection she received from the other MyGO members. Noticing Anon's happiness, Soyo made a slightly disapproving expression while sighing.

"If you keep crying, you're going to soak my handkerchief."

"Ah, I'm sorry~ but Soyorin and the others love me so much that I get emotional."

"Honestly..." Soyo sighed, waiting for Anon to stop sobbing so she could wipe the rest of the tears...
