   Summary

   Grief is a current that pulls without mercy. Thomas lets it take him, lets the hunger hollow him out until only memory remains. He survived—but something precious drowned with the one he couldn’t save. A part of himself.

   The only thing he can now tolerate are the cockroaches that crawl on the floor. Sometimes they're his friends, other times his food. The more he stays with them the more he starts to feel like one.
