The wind blew harshly and coldly outside of the mansion walls, wind whistling through the trees and snow fall hitting the windows. Charles Xavier- otherwise known as Professor X to the students who spent their time there- was sitting comfortably in his chair near the mansion fireplace, blanket draped over his lower half, drink in hand and his baby girl in the other.
He was humming a soft tune to his daughter, Jean was her name- she sat comfortably with her head resting on his chest.
“Well look at you two…” a soft voice rang out from the door frame- Charles cranked his head over to see his husband, Erik. “Hello darling, come join us” He smiled ever so softly at his beloved, eyes flickering over each of Erik’s features- his outfit, posture, smile.
The magnetic man made his way over, placing a soft kiss onto his lovers head- then his daughter’s head next. “Come with me for a moment will you dear? Me and the other children have something we want to show you” Erik whispered soft into the man’s hair, pulling his face back to look at his beloveds mesmerizing eyes- he swears he’d get lost out forever in them.
Charles cocked his eyebrow, curious as to what his husband and kids had in store for him- “take her for a moment?” The telepath hummed as he handed little Jean over, adjusting his blanket before following Erik towards the main hall of the mansion.
The telepath gave little glances to his Erik- so beautiful as he strutted down the hall with their daughter in his arms- Every time he looked at the man he felt himself fall harder, no matter how long they’d been together. Charles pondered as his eyes glanced to his belly, he’d just recently found out he’d been pregnant again- wanting to tell Erik the news tomorrow had him impatient as ever, but being the traditional man he is- he wanted to save that present for Christmas Day.
The two men and their daughter came up upon the man room of the mansion- in it, were their other children, Alex, Scott, Angel, Darwin, and Sean- Charles had a habit of taking in other mutants, wanting to teach them things and how to control their powers- hence why Charles and Erik founded the Xavier-Lehnsherr school for gifted younger- also accompanying the children were Raven and Hank- some of Charles’ closest friends.
In the middle of the brightly and festively decorated room- was a big and newly decorated Christmas tree. Charles looked in awe- “while you were in your study, we all helped put the tree up- we know you’ve been meaning to for sometime” Raven spoke up with a soft smile upon her face.
“My, my….children this is…” The telepath couldn’t contain his smile, he’d rather loved festivities like this, Christmas was always fun to him- him and Raven used to celebrate it fiercely. “Well this is just wonderful my dears!” The telepath said softly, his heart swelling up with love- love for his brilliant family.
This was the official first Christmas all of his family were there for- Charles was filled with unbridled joy, he leaned his head onto Erik gently as the kids got to chatting with each other “oh Erik…this is amazing..” Charles closed his eyes and let out a content sigh.
Erik smiled so brightly at him- leaning down to place a kiss upon his forehead as he sat down a now waken up and energetic Jean, going over to play with Alex and Scott.
The night went on, cheerful laughs and loud stomps and screams rang around the mansion, Charles hoped the rest of his life would be this way.
“We should make this a tradition” Erik hummed, his head resting on the telepaths shoulder- the two of them resting on the living room couch. “I believe we should, today was rather nice” Charles hummed back, his eyes scanning along the pages of a book he was reading.
A thought popped back into Charles’ mind- should he tell Erik the news now? Or actually on Christmas Day? Oh my- he was bad at keeping surprises.
He took a breath in before setting his book down onto the side table next to him- he turned his body to Erik, who now had full attention towards him. “Erik…” Charles began, somehow his words being caught in his throat- he’d done this one other time before, how could it be so different now?
Erik didn’t mutter a word, he gave Charles the time he needed to speak, his eyes gentle- waiting ever so patiently.
“I’m pregnant.” The words finally were murmured through- the air felt tense at first- then quickly dissipating as Erik swiftly hugged him with a soft gasp “That’s wonderful my love, oh my goodness!” The magnetic man yelped with joy- peppering Charles with man kisses over his face, giving him praises and sweet words.
“SincewhenOhmyloveI’mgoingtotakecareof yousoverymuch-“ Erik’s words sounded slurred together by how fast he was speaking- despite his stoic exterior, it all melted away when Charles was involved, and the fact that he was pregnant again with another kid that was his was the best thing to him.
“Darling, calm yourself- we have a long way before they come” Charles placed a soft kiss to his beloveds temple- Erik quickly melted into the touch. “Oh my dear, I love you. I love you so much.” Erik mumbled as he buried his face into the crook of Charles’ neck.
“I love you even more” Charles smiled softly as he leaned himself into Erik’s touch- “Merry Christmas Erik.” He added as he closed his eyes.
This was going to be a lovely 9 months.
