Work Text:
In that moment, Rogue forgets their plan, forgets his mission, forgets the dangerous aliens that they still have to locate. The entire universe shrinks into the man in front of him, and it has never been so vast. He even forgets himself and, although only for a moment, the overwhelming pain and loneliness that have been a part of his every waking hour. It’s a moment of joy, but also of tension, charged with all the potential of what the two of them can become. They dance, and everything else disappears around them, but eventually the music has to stop.
