Summary
Karlach is brought back after another incident on her adventure, finding herself alone in camp with the mysterious Withers. Thing is, she has been wondering for a while why it seems like he's been watching her more closely than the others, and there's a curiosity there too... When they hold hands, she's almost certain it can't be anything more than a dream conjured by her exhausted mind on its way back to the world of the living.
Withers hasn't felt the touch of mortal desire in longer than he can remember, yet perhaps there is a reason why Karlach keeps ending up in his care. He might even be the only one who can relieve her of her burdens without burning up in the process, but does she feel the same?
