Work Text:
It starts with a teacup.
Half-buried in the sand, red decorations faded to pink, but otherwise intact. Ed tucks it safely away in his basket.
It takes weeks to gather the rest: a creamer coaxed off a hermit crab, a teapot smuggled in by the crew (Pete not-at-all-subtly distracts Stede with a story about clouds, of all things)...
Maybe it's silly; after all, Ed could easily just buy a new set.
“I know it's not the same…” he hedges, when he finally shows Stede.
But Stede beams as he pours tea into their mismatched cups, and maybe it's just right.
