Oh. They're dating.

Summary:

Sierra ships people all the time and frankly Heather's sick of it...but could she actually be correct this time?

Notes:

Okay, this was last minute thing I thought of to post for April fools day. It's based on a sketch called shipping characters by ProZD. Which is even funnier because its a lamp and a TV being shipped.

In the sketch it's Oh, they fucking, but I decided for Sierra it would be more in character for her to say they're dating.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Heather doesn’t ship people. It’s stupid and can be really dangerous if you push it too far. So of course she didn’t take any stock into her friend Sierra’s ramblings. She’d shipped so many people at this point, for little to no reason.

So when they were hanging out in the hall and Noah started a conversation with Alejandro she braced herself for the inevitable.

“Hello Alejandro.” Noah Smirked.

“Hello Noah.” Alejandro replied, flashing him a smile.

“Oh they’re dating.” Sierra smirked.

Heather sighed in exasperation. Sierra was so stupid. “What? They’re just saying hello to each other.”

“How are you today?” Noah asked

“I’m doing well, how about you?” Alejandro replied.

“Oh they’re dating, look at them sparks!” Sierra squeed.

Ugh. They were so not dating! They were academic rivals! And Heather is protesting because Sierra’s being an idiot! Not because she likes Alejandro. “They’re just talking to each other!”

“Alejandro there is no one that I trust more than you.” Noah said with a genuine smile.

“I’m glad to hear it, Noah. You’re a very important person to me.” Alejandro responded in kind, his words sensuous, his brows arched, and Heather had no idea you could put that much emphasis into the word important but here they were. With a sudden shock she realized that for once Sierra was probably right.

“Oh. They’re definitely dating.” Heather admitted, trying to hide the bitterness in her voice.

“Oh they are soooo dating.” Sierra giggled.

As soon as the girls were out of sight Alejandro turned to Noah. “Pay up.”

“Fine.” Noah groused, handing him a five dollar bill. “We were able to convince Heather.”

“I told you I was good at this.” Alejandro smirked.

“You? Good at tricking people? I never would have thought.” Noah huffed.

“Indeed. So did you want to go for coffee after school?” The Spaniard asked.

“That sounds good. Maybe after we can for a ride on your skateboard. Of course, if you’re okay with me holding on to you so I don’t fall off.” Noah suggested.

“Of course not. I love it when you do.” Alejandro smirked.

Noah let out a laugh. “Seriously though, how dense can you be? I mean. Us Dating? Can you imagine?”

Alejandro chuckled and gave the audience a fourth wall breaking wink. “How ever would that happen?”

And the prize for the most oblivious person ever goes to: NOAH!
